when I need to, it doesn't bother me, I neither like or dislike it.

The words I hate the most are "Mom, whats for dinner?" It's not that I really hate cooking, I hate cleaning up the mess afterwords. And no matter what I make, someone doges.

I don't cook or enjoy it but it's not necessary for me to actually cook. My neighbor down the hall cooks for the two of us - it's a hobby for him. I do all the shopping, though, and buy stuff when I can. However, what I enjoy is making herbal smoothies for myself in a blender each morning, and that's not really "cooking." I use anything I can find that I grow myself, or find while foraging, plus whatever fruits, veggies, protein powder, etc. I have available from natural food markets or farmers markets.

Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from other things by cooking. Though, I don't like to do it a lot or everyday. I tend to do it all at once, then relax most other days.

My father used to respond to us (my brother and I) with "horsecrap" when we asked what was for dinner...because if we complained, that's what he would give us. Actually, my brother complained that our mother didn't fry the chicken right one evening when he was about 10. So my dad took his plate, cleared the chicken back onto the serving plate, went ouside, and scooped some dog crap onto my brother's plate. My bro had to sit outside with his dog crap suppper for fifteen minutes before being allowed to apologize to my mother. He also went to bed hungry. Guess what he got for breakfast the next day...leftover fried chicken.

Yes, but since my stroke almost 3 months ago, I don't take kindly to it. I go to the grocery, buy the whole roasted chickens, I cheat at cooking now, using other strategies. I used to do a lot of scratch cooking, haven't in a while. In my day, I did lots of cooking for the family.

I cook to survive. Sometimes I don't mind it, but I have to be in a really motivated mood, and it can't be a roasting hot day. I hate cooking on a hot day.

I sometimes enjoy cooking (depends what I'm making, and whether I have to make it or chose to). I love baking, however, if you're including that in the same category.

I don't like to cook. I like to eat home cooked meals but I don't like to be the one to make them. I'm not very good at it.

In summer our house gets really hot due to the size and placement of the windows. It's like a greenhouse in here.

I just noticed your avatar is not a continuous line. Well, it is, but there's an extra piece that's just hanging on, not a part of the rest. Don't know how I'll carve that.

I like cooking a lot, although some days I enjoy it more than others. I especially love baking.

When I'm in the mood to cook, I love to cook extravagantly (multiple dishes and lavish decor). Unfortunately (for my wife), I am rarely in the mood to cook.

I'll probably make it split off right there. Like it will become 2 pieces but stuck together.

Single tick means "other' every time.
I love to...when I am in the mood. Sometimes I don't mind, but only after a few minutes of kicking and screaming. I have to be inspired. I have to have a clue what I am doing. It's pretty tough in someone else's kitchen, I have been able to, but once the gears are oiled up and I'm creating, i don't like too many distractions. A meal cooked by me is more an artistic endeavor, a palatable experience of textures, colors and flavours. If I am not free in my mind to let the creative juices flow, than I freeze up and forget how to boil water. My Mary tells everyone she knows what a great cook I am, and I wish she wouldn't do that. She tells people and than they come over, I feel like I am a spectacle, a novelty, a freakshow with an apron. I cannot do it every day, and I cannot cook on command. It has to flow.
When I am in someone else's kitchen, and they have few or crappy spices to choose from, or the pans and pots are in really bad shape (compromised by being over heated or chipped teflon coating * dead face * ) and the knives are an absolute embarrasment I find it dificult to think clearly. I think sauces, condiments and proper side dishes along with the main ingredient that inspired me. Or sometimes the main ingredient is the only thing we eat, it is going to be fantastic.
