As in shellfish and pork, as stated in the Bible? |

| Galomorro | posted 29-Apr-2009 6:54pm I don't care for Korean-style kimchi, nor plain baking potatoes, nor most steaks. I will not eat any kind of junkfood -- takeout-place hamburger from places like McDonald's, fries, Cokes or other colas/soft drinks, so-called "energy drinks" like Red Bull, candy of any kind, Twinkies or other cupcake-thingies, cakes, and any other junkfood from non-natural food markets, beer, commercial dry cereals that come in those boxes like Cheerios. |

Hah, I would die if I had to cut out what you don't eat. I live literally on junkfood, burgers, coke, candy, twinkies, steak, etc and no meals are ever cooked at home. That is all I eat and will only eat vegetables if they can be mixed in with meat or something else so you don't taste them. Fruit - no way, doesn't agree with me. I agree with you on beer - that sucks. |

| LJD | (reply to FauxLo) posted 29-Apr-2009 7:47pm Yes. There was a purpose for dietary laws. I have eaten shellfish, and pork in the past. I may eat bacon once a year in a salad. |
| thecomic22 | posted 29-Apr-2009 8:47pm Clam chowder. If somebody even so much as sets a bowl of it in front of me, I'll throw up. |
| Galomorro | (reply to cerealkiller) posted 29-Apr-2009 10:21pm Well I think your tastes are a lot more common than mine; most people do eat all that stuff you like from regular markets. |

| cprasky | posted 30-Apr-2009 9:13am Generally, I am willing to try almost anything once. I won't eat liver or brains now, but that is because I tried 'em and I don't like 'em. The one thing I won't even try is sea cucumber, which is sometimes served in sushi bars. No sirree, that I will not venture to even try. I saw one that was still alive once and it looked like a big turd floating in the ocean. I can't get that image out of my mind when it comes to sea cucumbers. |
| Jody | posted 30-Apr-2009 1:58pm I won't generally eat rancid food, or food that will kill me (I have food allergies). |
| Enheduanna | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 30-Apr-2009 4:55pm In that case, I would presumably be dead, but I'll go ahead and say that it still sounds gross. |

| barbiepainter | posted 4-May-2009 12:24pm i would never eat a hot dog. |
| Iseult | posted 4-May-2009 6:47pm Not really. Even the pepper, which I even pick out of my bean salad, piece by piece, I will eat pickled. I can't stand most types of pork, but I like bacon and ham. Aubergines are pretty gross and so is baba ganoush. Just thinking of ground chicken or turkey makes me sick. So does most of the ground beef (except in lasagna or in hamburgers, but even those are pretty gross). I almost cannot bear eating sausages unless they're finely ground.
There are a lot of things I am picky about, but I don't think there is anything I absolutely refuse to eat. Actually, there is one thing I tried once, just so I can say I did, and that is raw red meat, but I'd have to be dying of hunger before I eat it again. |
