Do you regularly wear clothes that advertise the store you bought them from?

You know, like the "Old Navy" or "Gap" sweatshirts and hoodies? If yes, why? If no, why not?

No, never. Why on earth would anyone want to advertise some store (as in huge corporation) for free unless they REALLY love it. Does anyone really love the Gap or Old Navy all that much that they're so proud to walk around with its logo on their clothes on purpose? It's so common cuz you see people with that kind of thing everywhere, like "Tommy Hilfiger" or however you spell it, or Nike, to name a couple of others. I personally like the idea of making my own personal logo or statement on clothing that's more "me" -- that advertises something I'm really into in a big way and especially something that I've personally created myself -- that is, not to actually SEW it myself, but to make my own statement or whatever up, then have a company like Neighborhoodies.com create it for me.

My fashion sense is mainly eclectic and eccentric. I don't want to buy mainstream anything, unless it's lolita fashion. But that's only popular among Japanese girls and some anime fans. And I don't want to wear a logo on my shirt. My style speaks for itself.

However, sometimes I find a shirt with a funny saying, I just have to buy . But I will only wear them at home, like when I'm cleaning. I want to at least try to have better fashion sense than the average people around here.

No, because I don't own any. I don't shop at those kind of clothing stores. I'm 39, not 19. * grin *

No, never. I don't usually like the look of clothes like that. They're typically boring. Nor do I feel the need to be an advertisement for them.

I have bought pants and shorts from Old Navy before, but I don't buy the sweatshirts with the logo blazoned on the front. My feeling is that advertising is something the stores actually are willing to pay for, so why should I pay money to advertise for them?

I debated about "Yes, rarely" and "No, never". I think the option should be "No, rarely" since the question asked whether I REGULARLY wear clothes that advertise the store you bought them from. I have a couple of shirts from my gym which I wear. Not sure if my Nike shirts count---I may have bought them from a Nike store but maybe I didn't. That's a gray area.

No. In fact I'm trying to think of any clothes I have with a logo on at all. A couple have a brand name on them (if I include trainers and joggers), but not the name of the shop.

Very rarely. And it's usually very small.

I'm not paying retailers money so they can use me as a walking bilboard.

No, because they make me feel.. cheap or used or something. Like some kind of advertisement whore. Like I care where I got my clothes from.

Rarely.

Well, I wear a lot of Southern Belle tees. It's not advertising the actual store, though. Does that count?

Never - I think it's ridiculous enough to pay inflated prices just for the love of having a designer tee-shirt, let alone paying to be a walking billboard. Think about it; you're paying for the privilege of advertising for them! Suckers...

I have a few 'event' t-shirts (Glastonbury, etc). But other than that, I like my labels on the inside.

Never.

I enjoy what's almost a mystical association between label names and the events associated with my garments, but I don't like to advertise for anyone. I'd rather wear a well designed K-Mart garment than something Armani produced on bad drugs one day.

No, it is the initials for Grant Allen Prasky, my son's name.

When he was smaller (or younger at least, the kid has never been "small"), he used to ask me if that was his store... * smile *
