Neither. I'm 5'4 or 5'5 which is about average for a female, I think.

Short. Not sure whether 5'4" or 5'5" - I like it that way too. Any shorter than I am now wouldn't be good, but this is better to me than being really tall and/or big-boned.

I'm pretty average in height. 5' 6". I wouldn't call that either short or tall.

Relatively tall. Not very tall. I am approx. 5'7" (and exactly 170 cm). That's taller than the national average. But around here, it's much taller (where the average is 2 inches shorter than national).

I'm about 5' 3" or so, that's kind of normal. But I see many girls who are shorter than me.

Short. Saying 5'4'' is average is ridiculous.
I am by far the shortest in my whole family.

I'm 5'7". My SO is 5'4". Our son is 6'5" at 17 years of age. Go figure...

I was revising growth the other day, and read that you can predict a child's height by working out the mean height of the parents (in cms) then adding 7cm for a boy, or subtracting 7cm for a girl. That figure should be within 10cm of the final height that they achieve.

In your case that would be (170 + 163)/2 + 7 = 333/2 + 7 = 166.5 + 7 = 173.5cm which is about 5'8". The range of 10 cm either side would predict a height from 163.5cm - 183.5cm or 5'4" - 6'.

Just goes to show how wrong the formulae can be!

I play a little loosely sometimes, but somewhere in one of my posts, I believe that I mentioned he is our adopted son...he was actually born to my SOs cousin, but his biological father is about my size, perhaps an inch or two taller. My ex-wifes cousin is taller than my ex though.
