If it's done to me, yes. I think that might be why someone owes me at least ten dollars right now, with no sign of giving it back. But I guess it depends on the situation. And how big the deception is. If you hate someone's guts, but you want something from them, I think that's alright. It depends on if you care about the other person.

No. As long as no one gets hurt. I love charm and if I give in to it, win win.

No. If it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't see the harm in it.

I think "be true to thyself" and others. It's using deception to get what you want. I should have asked turn up what kind of charm?

Turning up the charm isn't deception, it's just changing your attitude and behavior to suit the situation. We do that all day, every day. We turn up the 'mean business' serious tone when we need it, and that's not deceptive. We turn up the 'nice' when a situation calls for a more gentle approach. Just the same, charm can get people to be more open to seeing things your way and influence them to your favor.

No, but I can do without those who use that as their main method of operation.

With a good friend wih whom you're only be playful, sure, but to manipulate strangers, no.

Good question.

How ironic. If you feel this way, why has no one yet voted yes?

Nope, not at all. Rather that than beating the crap out of them to get what you want.

I was thinking some people play nice, when in reality they're not, putting on another front than what they really are or intend..

I was thinking of someone who is normally nice, but plays up charm and charisma so people warm up to them faster.

I would think it's only nice, to be charming to another in a social gathering. The question wasn't the connotation I perceived. I perceived it as deception. Sorry.
