For the purposes of this survey, my definition:

a) A person who is easily swayed into buying a product they do not really need
b) A person who purchases alot of products from infomercials
c) A person who buys a product because its the new "in" thing or latest fashion e.g the latest cellular phone

Not really. Every so often something will get me, but it's not all that common.

No. My wife is prone to wanting stupid things we don't need from infomercials. I have to go online, look for reviews on the things and prove to her they're crap.

No. I don't watch infomercials, I'm not into fads, and I know exactly what I need, and my 'wants' are generated internally.

No. I'm really starting to think that advertising is the devil.

Trust no one.

I listen to the message of the advertisement and assume it is a gross exaggeration.

No. Actually, I'm kind of stingy! I'm even reluctant to get new clothes that fit me (my old ones are too big).

I am a marketing-allergic! So I usually turn off the TV as soon as ads start and never accept any discount coupon wanting me to buy useless, over-expensive crap.

I am not a marketing victim. I am a victim of a teenage son. He always wants the latest this, the latest that. If he gets it, and he rarely does, a month later he is unhappy with it and wants the next new thing coming up because the last one sucked so bad.

Fortunately, he now has a job of his own, so he can start buying the crap for himself.

When we were broke, the kids got used to hearing 'no'. Now that we have money, it's easy to say no, even though we can afford stuff. * grin *
