Have you ever been disappointed to learn that they are false or grossly exaggerated?

We have all received those emails that tell some heart-wrenching or tear-inducing story

e.g The terminally ill boy, who is allowed to run and win a touchdown with the help/consent of BOTH teams and who dies 2 days later or the guy who stopped drinking & driving after he is forced to attend a seminar and listens and watches whilst a man wheels his quadriplegic 15yr old son on stage and tells the story of how his son was run over by a drunk driver etc etc

Yea , I have............ When I used to forward these on to people, it was quite disappointing to receive back a "Snopes" link outlining what complete bullcrap it was

Not really. I don't really care about these stories in the first place. And most things I hear or read about, I assume they're lies de facto.

If I've ever received this type of e-mail, I certainly haven't made it past the first sentence.

I'm not dissapointed. I think pissed would be the first thing I thought of. I mean, I;'m not dissapointed that the kid wasn't really run over, but pissed that e mails such as those are scamming jpeople's emotions and using them.
i guess I felt used. After I learned that those were scamms, i now feel nothing...butt-holes

I'd be disappointed if the article I read today about people developing breasts on their thighs wasn't true...

If you go to this Wikipedia page and click on the 8th reference, it should bring it up (the direct link takes me to a log-in page).

I wouldn't believe a story like that in the first place, so would never feel disappointed to learn they aren't true.

I'm not saying that stuff like this doesn't sometimes happen, but most of what I get through my emails is junk, and I think stories like this aren't much different.

Yeah, but not like most people. I'm usually disappointed that there is a lack of carnage. However, I saw a news story on a woman who had a polar bear literally chewing on her ass as she was being fished out of their pen after having jumped into their zoo habitat . I found it quite comical and wasn't disappointed in this instance.

Oh... the focus was the Hallmark Moment stuff... Ummm... yeah, I always suspect bullcrap from these kinds of stories until I can determine otherwise.

No. I always assume they are false to begin with.

Leg-boobs!
Awesome.

I have a friend named Woody who has little nubs on his forehead that look like baby horns. His kids all have them too. Woody also has two extra nipples, a few inches below the originals.

I would love to see a picture of someone with horns! Do his "nubs" have a proper name?

We suspect he is extraterrestrial. When we were young, we thought he might be part-demon... especially when the children all started coming out with horns (with different women). You'd understand all this, I guess... if you met him. Very fertile.... which goes along with the alien or demon theory as well.

I have a group picture of some of my friends that is about 12 years old. He's in that. It's on my facebook and myspace. It's not really close enough to see the "horns/antennae" though.

Okay, I added it to my userpage. Woody is on the far left... with long hair. Shame you can't see the nipples or the horns.
