How badly has the global recession of 2008-09 affected you?

I'm going with a 5. I'm barely getting by. I'm not getting into debt, but I can see it coming if things don't change soon.

No aspect of my life has been affected by the recession.

No direct impact yet. I've been lucky so far, but I doubt it'll last.

Presently, the DEPRESSION hasn't hurt me personally, but it can if they change some laws. What hurts me is to see my family and others hurt.. The evil that caused this downturn, makes me angry.

I lost, or should I say we, Otter, and I about $25,000.That's a pretty good chunk of change to lose.

No impact. We are doing better now than before the recession, but it isn't related to the recession.

Recession, boom, it never seems to make much difference to me. During the recession under Carter, I was doing fairly well, in many ways better than I am now. (Gotta remember to to state my choice...No Impact, 0)

The one world elitists. I think Satan's children are on the earth, they come in all races. I want us out of the U.N. We presently are in a socialist system, not good. This government is deepening our debt, enslaving us. This is what they want. They want to steal the Christian nations (from the world) wealth and redistribute it throughout the world. The one world elitists want a world economic government.

*other* It taught me to be in more control over my finances than trust the 'man'. It taught me where we need help as far as being a stable and self reliant community. It taught me that prayers really do work and how properouos I really am and it taught me where I need to work on myself so that the illusion of a recession, or depression or a boom doesn't get the best of me.

Actually positive. Gas price is down, work is becoming too much to handle with lot's of overtime, restaurants and other places are offering deals to stay in business, etc.

Yeah, okay, I've lost about $15k in my 401k plan but who cares? I figure I never will have enough money to retire and things will come back eventually. I can't take it out unless I don't work for the company anymore. They'll don't allow withdrawals, even for hardship. So it's like not even having the money.

Things definitely seem more expensive than they used to, and the interest on my "savings" is terrible

It's a guess. I think my answer shifts daily. It also depends on my mood. I'm struggling as it is, but some days I can better cope with it than others.
