If I'm in public, I'll glance around and see who it is. Amanda's a pretty common name, so it's likely they're not talking to me.
At home, I'll answer with "what?"

A lot of times, I ignore it.

My name is very common with people of my age group, so I assume at first they don't want me.

I'm in this new department at work and I'm the only person with my name. It's pretty exciting.

Turn around to see who is calling my name. In the course of doing that, I might discover that in fact they were calling someone else.

Huh?

See if they're looking for, usually.

Sometimes I hear my name being called when it's not.

 * check * Pretend you can't hear anybody calling your name.

I have poorer than average hearing (or a super funny case of ADHD), so by acknowledging someone's beckoning, I'm opposing all of the training I put people through, as I often tell them, "I'M DEAF! MY HEARING ISN'T ANY GOOD!" * laughing out loud *
