What screen resolution is your monitor set at?

What pixel resolution is your monitor set at?

Mine was set at 1024x768 for four years then I decided that I wanted more room so I set it at 1152x864.

For Windows XP, right click your desktop, click Properties, click Settings, and look in the bottom left corner.

For Windows Vista, Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.
Under Resolution, view the current setting.

For Mac, Open the System Preferences (either from the Dock or from the Apple menu).
Open the Displays Panel and choose the Display tab.
On the left of the Displays tab you can see the Resolutions from the list.

1280 x 800. That's this computer (my personal laptop). The one at work isn't that high.

I believe it - movin' on. My old G5 was slowly dying. I bought the iMac from my neighbor who got a slightly more up-to-date iMac. I love this new one - the monitor is larger and clearer, the computer starts up much quicker, things load faster, and a wonderful surprise, the sound is louder. I'm hearing impaired and even with my hearing aid on (I wear one but need a second one) and the sound on the older one turned up all the way, it wasn't loud enough for me, and I kept putting off getting external speakers. Now I don't need speakers. I don't even have to have this one turned up all the way to be comfortable. Very satisfied with everything. Even the Scrabble game I always play -- I was used to it crashing in various ways up to several times a night. Now it's okay - no more crashes in the middle of a game...

Yeah macs are great if you want to be completely ignorant. PCs you actually have to know a bit about how the thing works, not just wee i can turn it on and click crap and hope it works, look my entire computer is in my screen, can i open it? no, do i know how to clean, interchange, uninstall hardware? no. can i explore the internals of the operating system? no

can i play games or 95% of any other programs? No.

ooo way to go mac, which also has the highest out-of-the-box failure rate of computers. way to go.
