Later there were more books in the series that sort-of undid whatever it was that pissed me off about how the story went.

Yes, several times. I definitely did it with Captain Corelli's Mandolin, and there have been a couple of others but I don't remember what they were.

No. I don't get that mad at books. I've thrown books across a room to get them closer to where they belong, though.

Yes, but not because of the book. Because of people... and the book has always been aimed at them. * wink *

I once read a book that I thought was a complete story, only to find I'd have to wait for a sequel to find out what actually happens at the end.

Yes, my algebra text book. Piece of crap was like, 40,000 years old and the cover was coming off..Very hard to keep the book straight..So the cover came off and I threw it across the room..

So, actually, no I've never thrown a book.

Never thrown, but only because I'm afraid I'll break something in the house.

I like the question very much! Such a behavior was unthinkable for me a few minutes ago! I'm afraid I have too much respect for books... If I happen to rate a book mediocre, I usually consider I'm not able to enjoy it yet and just put it aside for later.
