| sarahbrown536 | posted 12-Mar-2009 4:14pm They should be careful how they drive even if they don't have their baby in the car, because they would be made if someone did them wrong with their baby in the car. |
| bill | posted 12-Mar-2009 4:25pm I would probably think, "Wow, I haven't seen a 'Baby On Board' sign in a while...". |
| llamamama | posted 12-Mar-2009 4:58pm I'd think it might be like those people who have the "Beware of Dog" signs..but don't have a dog.
What about those window shade things for babies. What's up with that? |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 12-Mar-2009 6:58pm The baby is doing all the driving is what i think |
| Amanda | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 12-Mar-2009 8:46pm I think that's the best comment you've ever made on SC. |
| cprasky | posted 12-Mar-2009 8:46pm That they are idiots. That is the first thing that comes to mind. Although, I have imposed a certain degree of censorship expressing myself in a public forum. Substitute some riper word for "idiots" and you get the idea. After giving thought to an incident involving one of these idiots, I wonder why they expect everyone else to be careful around them on the road if they don't seem to care enough about their baby to drive safely in the first place. |
| they | posted 12-Mar-2009 8:51pm I like the old brat on board signs better... with the baby's fingers caught in the rolled up window. |

Thanks |
| Crayons | posted 12-Mar-2009 10:59pm I would hope that the baby referred to the driver. |

| smurf | posted 12-Mar-2009 11:41pm The first thing that comes to mind = Bob.
When she was preggie last year, my friend and her husband decided to keep the gender of their baby a surprise. She got tired of people asking if it was a boy or girl, and what it's potential names were, so she called her unborn baby Bob. [Baby On Board]. It was easier to refer to baby that way. "Bobs been really active today" "Bobs squishing my bladder!" etc |

They stop the glare of the sun from hurting baby's eyes. Babies can't always get out of the path of the sunlight or turn their head away |
| Enigma | posted 13-Mar-2009 12:01am I've always thought "Baby on Board" signs were dumb. I know how they came about and blah blah blah... dumb dumb dumb dumb dummmmmbbb. I'm sure plenty of drivers without babies in their car have the signs in their car window. |
| llamamama | (reply to smurf) posted 13-Mar-2009 8:04am Yeah, this is true. I never had one of those though. |
| Matty | posted 13-Mar-2009 9:41am I think they're driving recklessly. |
| Enheduanna | posted 13-Mar-2009 12:05pm I don't think I've ever noticed a reckless driver with a "baby on board" sign. |

It's not that I expect you to take more care not to hit my car. I don't imagine a scenario in which you know you're going to crash and you have to make a last minute decision to either crash into a car that has a "Baby on Board" sticker or one that doesn't. It's that I need cars behind me to realise why it is that I might be driving slowly and to therefore show me more patience than they ordinarily would do. No one honks a hearse unless they're a complete bastard because everyone knows what they're for. You accept that there's a dead guy in the back on his way to be buried/cremated and however late you are, you appreciate that someone is having a craptier than you. If you see a "Baby on board" sticker and the car is driving at 25mph, it could be that they're driving back from the hospital for the first time and the mum has a caesarean scar. |

And doing it with a child in your vehicle is just unexcusable! Driving is a privilege, and that privilege can being taken away from you. |

I HATE "Baby on Board" signs. They just seem stupid. Am I supposed to take extra pains not to ram their vehicle? I don't care to hit any vehicle.
