Do you use Survey Central as a 'Diary of your life?'

I often look back at my posts and read them. The post tells me what date it was written and gives me an insight into my life and feelings at that time.

I even call it my diary.

Because of this, I do not share this site with many people... which is unfortunate.. but I've said too much!! You guys might know me better than any one.

We don't know where you live or your social security number.. but wouldn't you agree that we know much more about your lifestyle, family, opinions, and way of thinking that most people you walk past and say hi to at work?

What I think about every day is far more personal than the stuff everyday people do just see or that I share out loud.. You guys are in my head.

No, what exactly do you think you know about my lifestyle? I bet the reality is very little.

I'm sorry, but not for me. I don't think all the personnas here are even genuine, and I could guarantee people would behave differently if they ever met.

Just everything you share here. It's not like I'm keeping psycho notebooks about your life... don't get paranoid. * raspberry * I read about you every day. Comment after comment about what you like, what you do, where you go, who you are married to, things you do with your kid. I'm not claiming to know everything about you. But you can't say I know very little to nothing unless you've just been making crap up for years.

Are you genuine here? I am. Why shouldn't most every one else be? Sure, I'm different in real life. I'm far more outgoing and confrontational on SC... but you know millions of things my neighbors don't if you've been paying attention.

It's like saying that you can't meet nice people in bars when you, yourself are in a bar.

No, I've never looked at it that way. I'm not sure how much it would be a record of what was actually going on in my life. I don't share as much about my personal life here as some people do. (Which isn't to say I don't like to read about people's lives; I'm just more protective of my privacy, I think. And my life is boring and I figure people wouldn't be all that interested in hearing about it.)

In terms of personality, yes, you're right. You have a general idea about how I feel about things and how I might react. But I would suggest I would be more or less unrecognaizble in person for the stuff you don't know about me. That's what I meant.

I'm genuine and I think you are as well, but I also think they are many people who are not entirely genuine and still others who are not genuine at all.

No. But I do put more about myself on my user page than others do, and I like reading about others' lives.

Not a diary. More of a blog. A diary contains details of one's personal life and I don't like to broadcast things (except to a few people).

SC is more of a sounding board. In that sense, I sometimes look back at my comments I've made over the years.

Nah, I don't really get very personal on here. I made a blog that nobody knows about for such things. Anyone could access it, but since the internet is a huge place, I'm sure nobody would ever find it.

No, I would never use SC as a diary of my life. I'm not on this site very often, about once every couple weeks or so.

If I do, it's not intentional. I think SC chronicles parts of my life if anything, but I don't consider it a diary. I have several blogs for that. * winking raspberry *

No, I haven't done that. However, I have read some things I wrote in the past and I was surprised, wondering what they hell I smoked that day.
