If you turn around what is the first thing you see

A chair. It actually belongs to the university; I took it right out of my department office, at my department chair's (haha) suggestion, and despite the fact that there are dire repercussions for stealing university property. I'm going to give it back in May, though. It has a little white knit pillow that my mother made sitting on it.

My exercise ball. I keep it by the computer because I have trouble sitting for too long. When I get restless I sit on that instead of my computer chair.

Shelves in the living room. If someone was sitting in the other computer chair in this room, they would be the first thing I see. It's usually Brian. Maybe I'll come back to this survey later and say Brian.

A white steel door, coated with 50 years of paint. It has a knob that is just as old as the bottom layer of lead paint -- with a broken lock.

I've been meaning to replace that knob for about 8 years.
