| Kristal_Rose | posted 19-Jan-2009 4:43am All my relationships have been 50% same and 50% opposite. That seems to work out well. Complementary yet stuff in common. Keeps things interesting. |
| docgbrown | posted 19-Jan-2009 5:02am Meah I donno |
| jettles | posted 19-Jan-2009 5:26am i really don't understand this but think it means opposites attract?? sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't |
| Lahdee | posted 19-Jan-2009 6:56am No |
| bill | posted 19-Jan-2009 8:07am Not exactly, but there's some truth to it... pairs of people do sometimes complement each other. |
| LJD | posted 19-Jan-2009 8:51am No. I think for long term happiness, those with common interests fare the best. I read recently, it has been researched, that opposites attract, for the short term (of course, there are always exceptions), but for life long happiness, it is best to marry one with the same interests, one like yourself. I agree. |
| LindaH | posted 19-Jan-2009 10:14am Not at all! |
| Crayons | posted 19-Jan-2009 10:47am No way. |
| Melf | posted 19-Jan-2009 11:38am I believe that sometimes they do and other times they don't. |
| Enheduanna | posted 19-Jan-2009 11:39am No. They don't make the worst ones either, though. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. |
| Cain | posted 19-Jan-2009 2:05pm Nope. That's not to say that they don't work well, I'm just saying that there isn't a magical formula for the 'best' couples. |
| Iseult | posted 19-Jan-2009 5:10pm Not necessarily. Opposites can compliment one another in certain circumstances, but they can also drive each other nuts. |
| cerealkiller | posted 19-Jan-2009 6:34pm No. My wife and I are totally opposite on a lot of things. We are at war most of the time. |
| Biggles | posted 20-Jan-2009 9:41am No. |
| southernyankee | posted 20-Jan-2009 3:53pm Yes, up to a point. |
| FauxLo | posted 20-Jan-2009 6:16pm Nope. |
| Joanne | posted 20-Jan-2009 10:38pm I think that is a myth. An idea born in the decedent depths of irony and counterculture. But then, I also think the idea that soul mates make the best couples is insane too. The best couples make themselves the best couples with hard work, respect, perseverence, patience and by choice. |
| Matty | posted 21-Jan-2009 9:10am ...characters...?
I believe good English mechanics make better surveys. |
| they | posted 21-Jan-2009 10:39pm I have no fudging idea who makes the best couples.

| judgescratch | posted 22-Jan-2009 12:21pm I just wish this had options. Yes, No, Other. |
| raymccarthy3 | posted 25-Jan-2009 2:50am probably not actually although in rare instances when their personalities have complimentary pros and cons opposites can make the most amazing couples. |
| cloudhugger | posted 13-Feb-2009 2:30pm No. Not the best. Better than some, maybe sometimes better than most, but sometimes worse. |
| jones1030 | posted 16-Jun-2009 10:26am yes i do |
| Gomezy3k | posted 26-Jul-2009 3:22pm No. There has to be some areas where you have things in common. I could not have a Girlfriend who did not like the same things I do. Although finding one who does like what I do is almost impossible. Not many women my age are into the Goth scene. |
