I have about 4 or 5 that I use, and about a dozen for show.
Yes, I made this survey specifically for me. And I marked it 'awesome'.

Two....a ten cup, and a five cup. I don't drink coffee, but my husband does. He recently told me, he wished he had a 40 cup... * smile * I'm a tea drinker.

Three. We have a Cuisinart Grind and Brew that we (really just my SO) use, we have an old Mr. Coffee that we keep for backup, and we have a little French press that we never use but that I figure is handy to have around, especially as it doesn't take up much space.

Why do you have coffee-makers for show? Are they special funky or unusual ones?

Just one. One of those pod coffee makers. Philips Senseo. Makes one cup at a time via pods of coffee. I normally just drink one cup a day so this is ideal for me. The pod packages cost about $5 or higher for 18 of 'em.

One, it's broken, but that's not why I choose not to drink coffee.

1 small 2-cup my wife uses daily
1 old 10 cup we use if we have guests
1 espresso machine we got as a wedding present that we've only used a couple times and it's way way in the back of a cabinet, but it's pretty nice
I'm not counting the Tassimo that I just threw away because it stopped working right and the cups were too expensive and I really just drink instant coffee anyway
Oh crap, I think we have a little french press too... but it sucks...

One but I quit drinking coffee so now it sits to rust unburnished, never to shine in use.

None, not a coffee drinker. I wish I had a genie that could produce cups of tea on demand though.

I own a water boiler (or whatever it's called, that thing that boils water for your coffee/tea).

None, I've been using the same drip funnel for 20 years now. I have a grinder of course.

Oh wait, does my espresso machine count?

If French presses are those pitcher-mugs with the built in plunger-strainer, then I have a couple of those too.

Anitques mostly. Ones I wouldn't use because they are made of aluminum or somewhat fragil. I have a few rare ones so I keep them on the shelf. It's all about the quality cup of coffee, but I can't help but show the ones I wouldn't use.

I prefer an open funnel with absolute control of the temperature and drip pattern. I add grounds to it all day and adjust my pouring technique for each mug accordingly. I have it all ergonomically layed out to select a mug from my collection, and could quickly grab grounds, sugar, and milk with my eyes closed. I should compost my bowl of grounds today before they start to mold.

I was going to say aluminum shouldn't be a problem except under sustained exposure or acidic content, but then come to think of it that is the nature of coffee. Now you've got me wanting to find a stainless funnel sculpted in rocket-deco style. I had a ceramic one though, and found I preferred using Mellitta's lighter plastic. I'm amazed its held out so long. I have a lot of plastic in the house which has decayed already.

It's the coffee and the ceremony of the coffee. I have different kinds of mugs and cups to fit the type of coffee and the type of mood for the day. That's awesome.

..The funnel which holds the filter and grounds. Aluminum would be poisonous, Ceramic is heavy to move and chips if you aren't careful. Plastic works, but a light sculpted stainless-steel model would be cool enough to justify the additional weight, would be easier to clean, and probably neglibly less toxic.
