| LindaH | posted 13-Jan-2009 4:12pm Of course it is! Two adults. What could be more appropriate than that? It's just dating after all. It's not like incompatibility or breakups never happen among people the same age. If it works, it works. If it doesn't it doesn't. Something so carefree as dating shouldn't be taken as seriously as some people take it. That just creates drama and screws everything up. |
| FauxLo | posted 13-Jan-2009 4:24pm It's not inappropriate. |
| Enheduanna | posted 13-Jan-2009 4:30pm Sure; enjoy the sex! |
| kirst | posted 13-Jan-2009 4:52pm Appropriate isn't the word I would use here. Legal, maybe? Yes. I have my doubt about whether this would last long term as a 20-year-old male probably hasn't grown into the person he will most likely become. But if the two people are having fun together, then I don't see a problem.
I don't think it's appropriate, though, to capitalize every word in a question... |

Let's see, that's 14 years apart. Suuure, I actually don't care. I really don't. |

| cerealkiller | posted 13-Jan-2009 7:15pm Yeah, but the male will lose interest as the female ages and sags. |
| LJD | posted 13-Jan-2009 8:15pm No...they're at different stages in life. |
| LJD | posted 13-Jan-2009 8:19pm I once knew a man in his twenties, who married a woman in her late forties. When I met him he was near 50, and still madly in love with his wife...a great respect. But this is not the norm.
I also worked in an office when this fellow 22 years old, married a 34 year old woman. I don't know if it lasted as I left the job a couple years later. |
| LJD | (reply to cerealkiller) posted 13-Jan-2009 8:25pm Either you love someone, or you don't. If you're married, and your partner begins to age, perhaps sags, so be it. If I were in love with a man, and we grew old together, I'd appreciate every sag, wrinkle, lack of hair. If he suffered from impotency,.. I'd stand by him. I'd respect him, appreciate him to the nth degree. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 13-Jan-2009 8:53pm While it's not a common practice, I guess it's okay. I have an aunt who married a guy 11 years younger than she. |

| LindaH | posted 14-Jan-2009 10:33am What difference does it make whether it lasts or not, or whether they are at different stages in life or not? It's dating, not marriage. |
| gambler | posted 14-Jan-2009 11:22am I dont know if Appropriate is the appropriate word............ I mean if your happy *shrugs*, TBH, when I was 20... I had loads of crushes on "older" women ala 34yr olds |
| Cain | posted 14-Jan-2009 7:58pm 'I'll meet you in a whisky dream, in a cinnamon dress, your long black hair flowing and you'll dance with me, dance with me, in a whisky dream.'
Oh, what? This is a survey about Whether It Is Appropriate For A 34 Year Old Woman To Date A 20 Year Old Male When They've Been Together 8 Months Already? Sorry, I didn't notice. |
| docgbrown | posted 15-Jan-2009 1:33am Fine. A good MILF should prove to teach him a lot in life and relationships |

| cloudhugger | posted 16-Jan-2009 9:41am Appropriate? I don't know, depends on what they act like. Is it OK? Do I think it's ok? Sure, as long as they don't act inappropriate. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Cain) posted 16-Jan-2009 9:44am That...was....I'm still laughing. I'm putting in on my list of all time fav' replys. |
| mj | posted 16-Jan-2009 3:38pm It's OK. 20 is a bit young. My wife was 11 yrs older than me and we were married for 29 yrs prior to her death. I meet he when I was 28, she was 39 |

| Gomezy3k | posted 24-Mar-2009 10:15am Sure... I see nothing wrong with it... Back when I was 42, I dated a 19 year old... It was awesome... the only trouble I had was keeping up with her... She got me into all sorts of new things... I learned to love Goth music, Goth Clubs, S&M and Bondage, and some other stuff I won't go into here... |
| Tazwert | posted 8-Apr-2009 1:01pm It is more appropriate than a 44 year old woman dating an 18 year old boy. |
