| bill | posted 12-Jan-2009 2:31pm just no |
| dab | posted 12-Jan-2009 3:52pm Just no. Not "no way", an unloaded gun isn't terribly useful after all, but I don't. |
| longhaultrucker | posted 12-Jan-2009 4:19pm Damn fudgeen right, i carry one loaded for work, carry one when i'm off duty, have them in my home, there's always a loaded firearm within a foot of me 24-7, proud supporter of the NRA |
| cerealkiller | posted 12-Jan-2009 5:19pm Not sure. Think the .44 magnum is loaded. It's in a gun case anyhow. |
| Galomorro | posted 12-Jan-2009 5:57pm No way. Ug. |
| cantilever | posted 12-Jan-2009 5:59pm This is Australia - I don't even know anyone who even owns a a gun. |
| Crayons | posted 12-Jan-2009 6:16pm Nope. That's probably for the better. Don't need me near any guns. |
| Matty | posted 12-Jan-2009 7:19pm All guns are always loaded, as a matter of safety precautions. |
| LJD | posted 12-Jan-2009 7:48pm Yes.....responsibly |
| Iseult | posted 12-Jan-2009 8:57pm No. But then again, I live in Canada, so it would be hard getting a gun. Maybe I could score a hunting rifle, that wouldn't be too hard. |
| Melf | posted 12-Jan-2009 9:50pm No no no. |
| Joanne | posted 13-Jan-2009 1:20am OMG no. But sometimes during bear season I wish I had more than a big knife. Not for hunting. For protection. I don't like having bears sniffing around my car and my hot tub and my empties. |
| Matty | (reply to Joanne) posted 13-Jan-2009 1:58am And you would fight a bear with a knife? You know what they call people who fight bears with knives...corpses |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 13-Jan-2009 2:01am I would commit suicide if i did have any guns |
| Matty | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 13-Jan-2009 8:36am with a gun? |
| Joanne | (reply to Matty) posted 13-Jan-2009 10:52am Ha! So far we've made it into the house, but better me a corpse than a loved one. I'd use a stick. |
| Matty | (reply to Joanne) posted 13-Jan-2009 11:21am I'd use my .45 several times to the Bear's skull. |
| Lahdee | posted 13-Jan-2009 1:05pm No I keep it in the back seat of the car and hope that one of the kids doesn't grab it and take it to school when I drop them off. |
| gambler | posted 13-Jan-2009 1:15pm Yes, I have a Glock 40, a Smith & Wesson 500, a Mossberg Shotgun, MP5, Desert Eagle.50, a Casull 454 and One or two claymore anti-personnel mines my favourite is my Heckler & Koch PSG1 sniper rifle with a VX-III 4.5-14x40mm Leupold scope, mounted using a picatinny rail system. |
| cloudhugger | posted 13-Jan-2009 3:41pm No. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Lahdee) posted 13-Jan-2009 3:43pm my gawd, I just spit out my nose laughing at that one. |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 13-Jan-2009 4:01pm For the love of God, why so many? Are you a collector? |
| llamamama | posted 13-Jan-2009 10:17pm And my car...Too soon? |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to Matty) posted 14-Jan-2009 3:14am > with a gun?
Yes with a gun much quicker like bye bye |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 14-Jan-2009 6:27am I'm not happy that they even exist anywhere.
- Hmm, everyone's response has been fairly predictable. All persons here I wouldn't care to live with, turn out, as expected, to be gun owners. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to gambler) posted 14-Jan-2009 6:37am Claymores?! and this is for what.. raccoons in the backyard? Playing hot-potato at boring summer BBQs? |
| Matty | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 14-Jan-2009 7:56am I think you should seek counseling |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:05am Hi Matty,
Its all BS, I have no guns, I thought people would figure I was messing around...after I got to the Claymore mines.... |
| gambler | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:06am Like I said to Matty its all BS, I have no guns, me and my dumb sense of humor |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:09am Oh, I do have a few items to defend myself. I have a telescoping baton which I always have on me. At home I have a pump-action shotgun, an M-4 carbine, a .45 for me, and a snub-nosed .38 for my wife |
| dpurdy33 | posted 14-Jan-2009 11:17am School get expelled instantly!! At home my parents would go so nuts if they found I was packin' a piece |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:18am .................Your the collector!, My cousin who I stay with when I go to Florida has some kind of assault rifle, he is former Military and was a small arms weapons instructor and has a Carry and conceal permit and always carries a 9mm Sig.
Its just weird seeing it, as I rarely see it here apart from Police officers |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:31am Collector? Not really. An M-4 is basically a .270...a deer rifle. It's not automatic, nor will I make it automatic. The Army motto...one shot, one kill. Plus, the barrel is short as is the stock, making it perfect for close quarters combat, or home protection. The shotgun is just a great hunting weapon. The psitols are in case either me or my wife have to defend our home. |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:37am so you dont carry them around with you?........... I could have gotten a gun permit here ... But its so much hassle, in addition owning a gun MAKES you a target because of the expense so villians will want to take the weapon from you and then turn around and kill you with it...Double whammy!
There are only two places to legally buy guns in Jamaica and you have to jump through sooooo many hoops to get one legally, of course as is the way Villians getting them illegally is conversely easier |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:49am No, I don't carry any firearms, but like I said, I do carry my baton. |
| Cain | posted 14-Jan-2009 8:07pm Nope. Would be illegal. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to gambler) posted 14-Jan-2009 11:56pm When I was a teen back in my Renaissance Faire acting days, I knew old military guys who actually did have that sort of thing in the trunk of their car.
Once someone's on that spectrum of collecting weapons, as many are, just like musicians collecting old synthesizer gear, there's no telling where they'll stop. It's probably not a good thing to joke about if you want to play it safe. |
| docgbrown | posted 15-Jan-2009 1:42am Yes, but locked up |
| gambler | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 15-Jan-2009 10:11am It's probably not a good thing to joke about if you want to play it safe........... Kristal?........... I live in Jamaica, and this was posted on a public Forum, why is it not "safe" or am I missing something? |
| jettles | posted 15-Jan-2009 11:17am no |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to gambler) posted 15-Jan-2009 5:23pm I forgot about the Jamaica part. Here you might have a SWAT team wake you up after posting such a thing. |
| gambler | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 15-Jan-2009 5:50pm Ah |
| LindaH | posted 16-Jan-2009 7:50pm No, but I don't know if the one David keeps is loaded or not. |
| they | posted 18-Jan-2009 12:54pm Absolutely not.
But if you think that's an invitation to come in, I will stab you in the penis. |
| Biggles | posted 20-Jan-2009 10:47am No, and if I did I wouldn't admit it here as I would be breaking the law. |
