| bill | posted 6-Jan-2009 12:36pm this made me think about a board game by the same name that my friends often talked about playing, though I think I only played it a few times... I'm such a geek |
| Matty | posted 6-Jan-2009 12:37pm no, just no |
| FauxLo | posted 6-Jan-2009 12:49pm Nope. |
| LindaH | posted 6-Jan-2009 3:28pm No. I'd never use one of these. |
| cerealkiller | posted 6-Jan-2009 5:00pm Don't believe in nonsense like that. |
| Cain | posted 6-Jan-2009 7:38pm No. Do you recommend that I get one? |
| Enheduanna | posted 6-Jan-2009 9:38pm I have a couple of necklaces that are talismans, but I don't actually wear them much. |
| LJD | posted 7-Jan-2009 3:49am No |
| Joanne | (reply to Cain) posted 8-Jan-2009 1:01am No rabbits feet on me, but I know quite a few people who have something special to them that makes them feel protected or comforted. I'm not talking babies with blankets. Things from a stone from the beach, a bracelet, and cuff links to a lucky shirt and a pet turtle. I'm surprised by all the no's. |
| Jody | posted 8-Jan-2009 12:29pm I have a "good luck charm" but I don't typically wear it. |
| Lahdee | posted 8-Jan-2009 1:03pm Come mister talisman, talis the banana daylight come and me wanna go home. |
| Pomeranian | posted 9-Jan-2009 12:08am around my neck 24/7 is a wall-clock sized engraving of a Pomeranian. |
| docgbrown | posted 9-Jan-2009 2:35am Yeah... my luck underpants - not! No, I have no talismans |
| Cain | (reply to Joanne) posted 9-Jan-2009 8:35am I'm not sure I believe in something special that could make you lucky. Nice idea though. |
| Joanne | (reply to Cain) posted 9-Jan-2009 10:40am Same here. I remember my parents had a St. Christopher medal in the car. St. C was the patron saint of travel. I don't think they'd have said that was a talisman, even though it served the same purpose. I thought there'd be more of that kind of thing mentioned in this survey, only not churchy stuff. Maybe crystals, metals, earthy things. I"m looking for a grown-up blanket. |
| Cain | (reply to Joanne) posted 9-Jan-2009 1:41pm I have a friend who says she can heal people with crystals. She makes sure she always wearing at least one on her body. Gets her through the day! |
| Joanne | (reply to Cain) posted 9-Jan-2009 11:53pm I wish I could believe in something like that. I overthink everything and want proof.
|
| Cain | (reply to Joanne) posted 11-Jan-2009 2:56pm Me too. I'm not closed off to ideas, but I need proof first - I'm not going to believe something blindly. |
| cloudhugger | posted 13-Jan-2009 10:31pm Tattoo count? |
