| romkey | posted 13-Nov-1999 12:28am I know this probably never happens in reality... |
| magbast | posted 13-Nov-1999 2:29am usually the cash... |
| supplicant | posted 13-Nov-1999 6:24am The card: because it never releases all at the same time, it always releases the card, then has a pause long enough to put it away, then the cash and a pause then the receipt. |
| jcdino | posted 13-Nov-1999 8:05am I think I'd get the cash first anyhow, but the ones I go to release the cash, then the receipt, and then ask if you want to do anything else before releasing the card. |
| bill | posted 13-Nov-1999 8:51am card - because I've seen machines suck cards back into them. I prefer the machines that only require a swipe and not complete absorption of my card. |
| dab | posted 13-Nov-1999 10:47am In actuality, the machine gives me the cash first and the other two only after I have removed the cash and pushed the button that says that's all I want to do today. |
| they | posted 13-Nov-1999 11:29am Cash, card, receipt. Woulda been a good ranking. |
| romkey | posted 13-Nov-1999 12:16pm suppose, suppose, suppose... that's why it's a hypothetical question. |
| mandy | posted 13-Nov-1999 1:23pm cash card receipt |
| Mariah | posted 13-Nov-1999 2:21pm The cash. If cash was anywhere near me, I would grab it as soon as possible. I am still so poor. :( |
| Fluffball | posted 13-Nov-1999 8:32pm The receipt, all the while praying to the gods of banking and finance that the balance line says something other than $0.00. (They don't always listen). |
| ILJ | posted 14-Nov-1999 2:09am The card. Stop that damn beeping! |
| supplicant | posted 14-Nov-1999 6:10am romkey: my brain seizes up when it tries to contemplate unimportant hypotheticals which will never happen in my life situation. |
| Jasmine | posted 14-Nov-1999 7:35am cash, card, receipt. |
| msgman | posted 14-Nov-1999 8:54am The ATMs I use all return them sequentially, so this problem has never arisen for me. |
| gilly | posted 14-Nov-1999 8:58am Whichever is spit out first. |
| Lizabeth | posted 14-Nov-1999 12:30pm Cash ... always. Then my card, then the receipt. |
| yorricks | posted 14-Nov-1999 6:28pm Did you know that some machines also suck the cash back in if you don't grab it within a certain amount of time? Not that I've ever done that of course...*cough* |
| SueBee | posted 14-Nov-1999 7:11pm I have two hands. I'd take the cash and the card at the same time, and then grab the receipt. I haven't used an ATM for many years though. |
| magbast | posted 14-Nov-1999 9:18pm the 'check-card' has drastically curved my ATM usage, how bout you Suebee? |
| Lizabeth | posted 14-Nov-1999 9:22pm yorricks: That's never happened to me (really ... honest, it hasn't ...) but it did happen to my father once. Boy was he pissed! |
| Mariah | posted 14-Nov-1999 9:36pm I had to give up my ATM card. I would never trust myself with a credit card after I saw what happenned to me with just an ATM card. |
| SueBee | posted 14-Nov-1999 11:21pm Actually, I don't even have a check card, magbast. I can cash checks so easily at work that I never need a cash machine. I can write checks for just about anything and everything around town, too, so it's not usually a problem if I do run out of cash. |
| grmbrand | posted 15-Nov-1999 10:28am Cash, then receipt, then card. That's the order that they come out. |
| magbast | posted 15-Nov-1999 11:32am you should read the survey more carefully nitpicker :) |
| grmbrand | posted 15-Nov-1999 11:54am Throttle back, Challenger. That was a foreshortened response. The full answer being: "Cash, then receipt, then card... Even though they have come out simultaneously. That's the order that they come out in my addled, time insensitive mind. Magbast, man. I must've really pushed your buttons on that grammar thing... |
| magbast | posted 15-Nov-1999 12:41pm yeah...the grammar thing has always bugged me...all the way back to lisashea |
| jjg | posted 15-Nov-1999 4:17pm I don't have an ATM card and don't take cash advances from a credit card, but in the flavor of the hypothetical situation I would say the cash. |
| mandy | posted 15-Nov-1999 8:14pm I think his buttons are just perpetually taped down lately *sheesh* BTW Magbast, I wasn't playing dumb on the other survey. I knew exactly what the question meant...after I read it 6 times. People here always critique surveys...You need to separate yourself from your surveys and not take the criticism so personally. If you don't care whether your surveys are understandable, you shouldn't care that people call you on it. Like you said...SFW. If that's your attitude when creating a survey, it should remain your attitude when reading the comments, too. Then you won't get all annoyed and stuff :) |
| magbast | posted 15-Nov-1999 10:14pm *pffffffft* |
| Gamera | posted 15-Nov-1999 10:58pm I'm pretty touchy about the possibility of losing my card, having done so in some pretty wicked non-ideal situations. So I always take my card as soon as it's available. |
| eris | posted 10-Jan-2000 10:23pm They never return them all at the same time... they always return them verrrry slooowwwly. |
