| dab | posted 25-Sep-2009 10:18am I've never been denied but I've had multiple occasions to look at price vs benefits and decide that it wasn't worth it. |
| TeddyMiller | posted 25-Sep-2009 10:26am No, I get health insurance through my job, and I've been working for the same company for almost 25 years. |
| jen | posted 25-Sep-2009 10:31am denied. I'm on the state's version of the 'public option' due to a preexisting condition. health care pitfalls are the big thing that makes owning a small business difficult |
| Biggles | posted 25-Sep-2009 11:03am I've never needed health insurance - I'm in the UK. |
| Galomorro | posted 25-Sep-2009 11:25am Yes. It has always been too expensive for me, even if I didn't have a doctor phobia. With all my bills and high rents I can't afford it. I used to work for insurance companies and think they're all ripoffs and do not trust them, with all their small print and deductions. |
| LJD | posted 25-Sep-2009 1:55pm No |
| bill | posted 25-Sep-2009 3:28pm Not when I worked for a company, but since being self-employed, I was turned down due to pre-existing condition. So was my wife. Even though, we're really not that sick or anything. We ended up on the state-supported "high risk pool" insurance, a last resort (you have to get rejected to get on it). The coverage isn't very good (high deductible, so we pay out of pocket for almost every thing; but if we had a big cost, it should kick in) and the monthly fee is not cheap.
I have this impression that the only people who think their health insurance is good are the people who've never really had to use it. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 25-Sep-2009 7:31pm Nope. It's mandatory in my field, and given to everyone through their employers (unless they are on a spouse's plan; then they can opt out of this one). |
| jettles | posted 26-Sep-2009 9:52am no, but know others who have and have almost lost their homes due to the bills. |
| gambler | posted 26-Sep-2009 2:34pm No .......... Had to have a blood test to make sure I was HIV/AIDS free ,.......... sorry that was life Ins
Health Ins , No ....... it works well here, I have Blue Cross, My doctor visits are 50% off and my Bi-annual cost for my Colonoscopy is reduced from US$600 to about US$150 + my company pays mine |
| llamamama | posted 27-Sep-2009 1:49pm I'm on my dad's health insurance..I myself have never had to get health insurance. |
| kcthedog | posted 27-Sep-2009 10:39pm Yea! When I was sick! |
| Zang | posted 28-Sep-2009 5:34pm In Canada, you can't not have health insurance. |
| cerealkiller | posted 29-Sep-2009 2:50am Only when I was self-employed for awhile. Health insurance companies quickly deny you coverage if you have pre-existing conditions. |
| coffee5437 | posted 30-Sep-2009 12:02am no problem with health insurance. |
| Enheduanna | posted 1-Oct-2009 1:58pm Not as of yet. |
| autumnlight | posted 5-Oct-2009 1:53pm Thank God for the NHS |
| they | posted 12-Oct-2009 9:26pm No, but rates are going up and coverage is being limited every year.
Obama is showing his true colors with this big health care mess, I think. I realize now that voting was probably a waste of gas. They all play on the same team. |
