| Hanes | posted 23-Dec-2008 2:07pm I have a real one, flocked white with purple top , purple lights ,purple bulbs, with a long strand of purple beads wrapped around it and 2 trains running around the base in opposite directions. |
| cerealkiller | posted 23-Dec-2008 2:21pm I have a 4' artificial tree that sits on a ledge 8' up in front of a 5'x5' window over the front entryway double doors. Can't have a tree at floor level with the cats.
I don't believe in killing real trees for Christmas and they're dangerous. Sales were way down this year. The local tree place with real trees didn't even sell half of what they had stocked. |

| LJD | posted 23-Dec-2008 10:35pm I haven't had a tree in the house in about 5 years, now that the children are gone. We do decorate a tree in the yard. I decorate my mantel, hearth, around the rooms, use Poinsettas etc. I have nice Christmas music playing in the family room. I have a cute Santa in the entry hall, setting on a table, and when someone walks by, plays music....one of my good buys. I love the smell of mulling spices throughout the house. |

| llamamama | posted 24-Dec-2008 2:47pm It's artificial..and it's small. We threw out our big fake one last year. I wanted a big, real one this year..but we had the small tree. |
| Maarten | posted 24-Dec-2008 6:06pm No tree.
Think about it. You're putting a tree in your house because it's December? When you do so in April or July or May, people will rightfully say you're mad. But no, in December it's okay?? |
| LindaH | (reply to Maarten) posted 26-Dec-2008 9:35pm What if it's an April Fool's tree? |
| Joanne | posted 27-Dec-2008 1:49pm After years of struggling with real trees, trying to make it stand straight, sweeping, watering, paying big bucks, feeling guilty about denuding the forest,, we went to artificial and have never looked back. |

| Biggles | posted 20-Jan-2009 1:05pm A very dead one now. It's not mine, not my responsibility to get rid of it, but if it doesn't go this coming weekend, I'm going to buy myself a saw and take it apart. |
