| Wicksy | posted 3-Dec-2008 11:36am Hey? |
| LindaH | posted 3-Dec-2008 11:36am I don't really think there's a "most" grown up thing. I think the level you discuss it on matters more than the topic. Even a kid can talk about things like sex, politics, philosophy and science, on their level. |

| Iseult | posted 3-Dec-2008 1:26pm Most grown up things I am able to talk about now are not necessarily good things. |
| judgescratch | posted 3-Dec-2008 1:50pm I can't.
I can't discuss politics, the economy, business, or even sports very well atall. |
| risingroad | posted 3-Dec-2008 2:05pm Well, the most grown-up thing I would talk about would only be with another person in a conversation but I'm afraid not on a survey. Sorry! |

| Melf | posted 3-Dec-2008 3:42pm Um, I can talk theological intricacies at you if you like. |
| they | posted 3-Dec-2008 4:05pm I like to think I can carry on at least a basic conversation about most "grown-up" topics.
But maybe I don't understand the question. |
| meowry | posted 3-Dec-2008 5:10pm I'm at an age where I have to deal with most of them, so I can't really draw a line. And since I've been through trauma in my childhood, I can talk about almost anything. Yeah yeah, I sound old. But it's true that people begin to take on extra responsibilities, after they've turned 30. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 3-Dec-2008 8:58pm i do not know at this time to talk about |
| docgbrown | posted 4-Dec-2008 4:47am Not sure what kind of an answer was sought but I can deal with anything you need to get off you chest I can listen to and talk to you about in private |
| Irene007 | posted 4-Dec-2008 8:42am Sex |
| LindaH | posted 4-Dec-2008 10:33am I guess serious dire issues are pretty grown up. Not many kids talk about those, except psychologically traumatized kids. |
| Enheduanna | posted 4-Dec-2008 11:25am I can only talk about peepee and caca. |
| dpurdy33 | posted 4-Dec-2008 12:36pm Politics. |
| cerealkiller | posted 4-Dec-2008 12:57pm Talk about with fluency and knowledge of the subject? Not much. I'm not one for serious deep conversations. Things like politics, religion, the economy, terrorism, etc. I only view with minor interest. My wife on the other hand is obsessed with this stuff and watches CNN all day. We're going Christmas shopping tomorrow and she's afraid of being out in public with terrorists, crazies shooting up shopping malls, etc. I told her I'm not going to live my life in fear of what might (and likely not) happen.
I guess the subject I can talk about most if I had to is costing the construction of transportation tunnels, airport runways, buildings, etc. And cats.............. |

| llamamama | posted 4-Dec-2008 11:05pm Are you serious? That's all myself and my friends talk about..17 and 18 year olds are the most grown up people around..
But I don't know what you mean..I can talk about finances..kinda..but it bores me..I can talk about dirty things..I don't much enjoy it..but 10 year olds can do that too..What exactly is a ''grown up'' thing to talk about? |

| cloudhugger | posted 5-Dec-2008 3:45am Hmmmm, good question. Ive changed my answer a few times since I wrote this survey. I think today it would be about legal issues. |
| cloudhugger | posted 5-Dec-2008 3:49am How bizarre. the survey passed without a single comment in qual about not being understood, yet here this is all full of qyestionmarks and confusion.
Hmmm...that explains alot. *snicker* |
| Melf | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 5-Dec-2008 6:37am Does it? |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Melf) posted 5-Dec-2008 9:48am My deductions is that qual is the most grown up part of SC, .thusly taken seriously. Once out of that room, it's back to the brash, loud fun crowd. There is a mix of emotions in responses to surveys, but in qual, people tend to put on their serious faces.*
*unless it's a pee survey |
| Joanne | posted 5-Dec-2008 4:39pm Hmmmm. Some things quickly come to mind: money, sex, religion, politics. Stuff in the adult realm. Aside from that, I think truly grown up people can talk about themselves and their lives without lying, as in facing pain honestly and being forgiving. |
| cantilever | posted 5-Dec-2008 5:00pm Euthanasia, abortion, religious fallacies, ... the list is endless |
| jettles | posted 6-Dec-2008 7:55am my work, politics............ there are plenty of non grown up things i can talk about too. |
