| Galomorro | posted 15-Nov-2008 3:00pm Other. My neighbor is not my significant other but I shop for what he decides to cook because he likes to have a special meal for Thanksgiving. Sometimes he goes out with someone else for dinner this day and we eat what he cooks the next day or so. |
| Cain | posted 15-Nov-2008 3:27pm I don't. British. Would like to though - any excuse for a party. |

| Otter | posted 15-Nov-2008 4:45pm It's another day on the road, except sometimes it's hard to find an open restaurant. Ironic really, being as it's a holiday dedicated to over eating and most restaurants are closed. I spend the day driving a truck and eat something from the refrigerator, or truck stop. |
| Iseult | posted 15-Nov-2008 5:50pm I already celebrated Thanksgiving about a month ago, thank you very much. |

| jettles | posted 16-Nov-2008 8:12am the last 2 yrs we have had family and friends over for a big meal. my dad and his spouse and some friends without family in the area come over. it's a lot of fun! |
| bill | posted 16-Nov-2008 8:45am Growing up, my mom made it and we had my grandmother over. Later, after my parents split up, my dad and I went to his sister's house (my aunt). Then, at some point around or after college, things got a bit random, but we had it over friends or where we lived with friends. Now, I think we most often go over a friend's house, though the plan varies, I think and it may not always happen. I think I've made it myself for just my wife and I once or twice. I think I've had it at a restaurant once or twice too, but not recently. |
| Gomezy3k | posted 16-Nov-2008 9:42am I do not celebrate it... The last good "holiday" is Halloween or Samhain...otherwise everything after that sucks.. |
| gambler | posted 16-Nov-2008 1:19pm I don't celebrate Thanksgiving |
| Lahdee | posted 17-Nov-2008 7:09am Usually spending the day at home with my husband and kids or going to his dad's house with a precooked meal. This year my mom is here though, so we'll have Thanksgiving dinner here with her. |
| Lahdee | (reply to LindaH) posted 17-Nov-2008 7:11am Irene's? What does dad do? Stay home or go to Bob's? |
| LindaH | (reply to Lahdee) posted 17-Nov-2008 10:23am Don't know what he does. His work gives away turkeys every year and he gives them to us. |
| cerealkiller | posted 17-Nov-2008 3:16pm With no family here anymore it'll be a pre-cooked turkey dinner deal from Safeway. Not gonna spend all day cooking for two people. |

| cloudhugger | posted 20-Nov-2008 10:33am I go to as many turkey dinners as I can fit in. The ones that ask me of course. |

| llamamama | posted 23-Nov-2008 11:10pm I spend the day with my family. My dad typically cooks most of the food and my mom makes the cranberry sauce. This year though, my dad told me to bake the pies..so I'm going with pumpkin (duh)..and I'm not sure what the other pie will be. Hm |
| cloudhugger | (reply to llamamama) posted 25-Nov-2008 3:08am Key Lime pie is nice. |
| llamamama | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 25-Nov-2008 5:01pm Hm, we were thinking about something like that..but I think we were leaning more towards pies with fruit. |
