TV of course. But I actually gave that up several years ago. The other 3 I could never live without. |

The TV. |

Books. Most of my reading is on the internet these days.
However, I am involved in culling my record collection so that I have space to live. |

These have become a bit blurred together, so it's easy to cheat and pick TV because I can watch TV on my computer. I can listen to music on my TV or computer as well... My TV setup includes a computer (TiVo) as well as a couple video game system which are also computers. You left out video games from your list, by the way. I read books on a Kindle, which is a handhelp computer. Really, most things are computers these days. An iPod is a computer, though I don't have one. I mostly listen to music on my computer. |

I'm struggling to stay off eBay. I didn't realize I was such an addict that there'd be pangs. It was taking me four hours per day scanning the 62,000 sweaters available weekly. In the time I've spent over two weeks, looking for a vneck cardigan sweater-dress for under $40, I could have worked and had one personally commissioned by some designer crochet artist. Dang, now I want to check on eBay to see if there are commission crochet artists. |

I'd get rid of the genie for not knowing I didn't have TV in my house. I'd file a comlaint with the genie guild and ask for an immediate replacement. I'm not nice either. |

TV. I'd be lost without the other three and die of a broken heart anyway. |

You wouldn't die; you'd adapt. I think if you actually had to do something like this, you'd be surprised at how resilient you actually are. I haven't had TV in my house for almost three years...by choice. And I believe my life is much richer for it. We spend more time as a family; we are more physically active (my workout is half of what it used to be); I'm much better read; and the list goes on, literally.

Television, no contest. This is like asking who I would send far away from here: My kids, my hubby, my best friend, or my enemy. |

Depends where your interests lie. A very good question. I guess I'd say television. |

Heh heh, the genie guild. I just had a great idea for a book... |

Easy - books. It's been years since I've read a book. No time for such a thing. |

TV. This is a no brainer. |

Book are good because they're nice and portable (laptop is portable, too, but I don't like carrying it around and I prefer reading from a printed surface more than I like reading from a screen). Music, well, it's an obvious no. And computer can be used to watch TV programs. |

That was my point - I COULD get rid of TV. |
TeddyMiller | | posted 10-Oct-2008 9:58am |
I'd get rid of music. Books, television, and computers are all big, important parts of my life, and I wouldn't give up any of them. While there's some music I like and sometimes listen to, it's a considerably smaller part.
Oh, if the choice was books, TV, computers, or sex, I'd pick sex to give up. |

If I got rid of TV, then I'd have to get rid of movies. If it was just television shows, then I'd get rid of TV. |

It's ironic. At first I thought she was being serious too, but she's carrying a rainbow flag which is a bit of a giveaway.

I am torn between books and TV, because I mostly read stuff from the internet anyway, and hardly watch TV anyway (save for a few shows and the Saints game).
The thing is though, if you have a computer and internet, we can just post every book ever made onto a pdf and assuming we still have printers, just print a whole bunch of pages. With an internet connection, you can also just about download every show that ever existed. |

Phew! I didn't know what I was looking at. The sign was really funny, but I couldn't figure whether it was accidental or purposeful. The official looking building threw me, her serious expression threw me, wow, that was really well done. Thanks for putting my universe back together. |
