I don't want to get married in the first place. |

Assuming everyone in the group loved all the others, certainly. |

No, I don't think I would do well with this. |
Enheduanna | | posted 21-Sep-2008 8:54am |
No. Let me clarify: hell no. I am way too jealous and insecure to be one of multiple partners and I have no interest in having multiple partners of my own. One partner takes enough time and effort; I don't need more. |

It's weird, my answer is "yes", though it's really quite hypothetical and I'm sure it will never happen to me and in general I think it's a bad idea. But, I think it's possible to have conditions that are perfect such that it could happen. Basically, if would just have to feel right for everyone involved and seem to have the potential to remain stable for a long time. |

Having not been in any relationship that lasted more than a few days, I honestly don't know, though I do think that that answer would most likely be No, never. |

No way. I read yesterday in the newspaper about an 84 year old guy in Nigeria who's been arrested for having 82 wives - they stormed the jail demanding that he be released - can you imagine!! The gov't wants him to pick four 'cause any more than that is illegal in Muslim law. He has 170 children. Not for me, thanks. Uh, uh, never, no how. |
LJD | | posted 21-Sep-2008 2:26pm |
No. I will never share a man, either he's in my bed only, or there is no relationship. I value myself too much. |
jettles | | posted 21-Sep-2008 5:11pm |
no, i may have been willing earlier in my life but never now. |
| llamamama | | posted 21-Sep-2008 6:23pm |
No. I'd have to have like, 48 kids. That and it's like..illegal. But ew..48 kids..Although, I would be able to be on TLC's Kids by the Dozen show..so, that's exciting. |

I would not want to be with one man and three other wives.
I think I would tolerate six men and just one wife being me, though. Mreow! |
moviesnob | | posted 21-Sep-2008 7:23pm |
No way. I'm not the type to understand sharing a spouse. |
Crayons | | (reply to moviesnob) posted 21-Sep-2008 8:12pm |
What if you had multiple spouses who shared you? |
moviesnob | | (reply to Crayons) posted 21-Sep-2008 10:08pm |
I'm not cool enough to handle that. |

My wife and I have been discussing this very thing for a couple of years and agree that it could easily work for us under the following conditions:
1) She believes the Bible completely. She doesn't try to pick and chose what she'll believe and do vs what she won't. Intellectual integrity is critical.
2) She selflessly loves us and our children like we do. Love isn't shallow or fickle. It's a conscious will to give what the other person needs most.
3) She doesn't have germaphobia, is flexible, etc. With 6 kids and lots of moving, there's no time or money for a "high maintenance" woman.
All in all, we're going to let God pick her and send her our way since very few would ever match.
He picked us for each other, why not let Him pick #2? |

One spouse is one too many |
southernyankee | | posted 23-Sep-2008 7:48pm |
Well, I would never say never, but probabally not. It would take a lot to convince me. Also, this would depend on if I was the one who have multiple spouces (somewhat tolerable, though I prefer being committed to just one woman), my wife having many husbands me being just one of them (least tolerable, if not at all), or both of us having many partners (moderatly tolerable). |
cloudhugger | | posted 23-Sep-2008 11:05pm |
No, one spouse is handful enough. |
romkey | | posted 25-Sep-2008 10:49pm |
I have been. I prefer being just one relationship. It's much simpler. I'm not against casual sex though. |
| docgbrown | | posted 26-Sep-2008 3:40pm |
Maybe, my wife might like it more than me |

I know the other women, and he doesn't want me to have children. He has other wives to do that, for him. |
