Is vanilla icecream really boring?

When I sit down to a bowl of ice cream, I so want to be entertained. The chocolate is good for a few laughs, and boy can that strawberry sing, but I only have one word for the vanilla: BORING.

Vanilla ice cream is the most popular flavor in America. Your assertion that "everyone seems to think so" doesn't seem to be entirely accurate. If you were to talk about vanilla flavored sex, well then, yes, vanilla would be pretty fudging boring. But I would suggest that ice cream and whole poking differ.

No, I don't think so because I am not boring. Vanilla ice cream is like a blank canvas to dress up in an infinite amount of varietys. It is the base from which all ice cream life forms come from. If you think vanilla is boring it is because you are boring.*

No. I think people think it is because it is 'generic' ice cream. Part of us assumes that it is ice cream with nothing added. Though, at the same time, it's just ice cream. It's not more boring than any other kinds of ice cream, and it's not less boring. It's just ice cream.

No, it is not! I love it, smooth and creamy and vanilla like. It's the best thing ever. Simple, yet brilliant.

It depends.............. standard Vanilla IS boring, but there are some premium/gourmet type (haagen Daaz?) vanilla ice cream that is double whipped/soft serve/freshly made etc etc which is pretty UN boring

I like the bean kind better than the french kind.

When we were kids, our grandparents would let us sprinkle red and green sugar on top of it. It was tasty and fun to watch the colors dissolve and mix while we ate it.
