I think it's far more useful to know where I've been. Then I can learn from my experiences. How would you learn if you only knew where you were going? How would you even know how to get there? |

I already know where I'v been; this question seems insipid to me. But perhaps I just don't get it; could someone explain ths? |

I would think logically where I'm going would be more appropriate. I like having a plan, and plans usually include destinations and goals.
BUT there is a sense deep down that is truly fascinated with where I have been. It is better for knowing who I am and how to deal with what is in the road ahead. |

lol @ explanation -- (I often feel foolish trying to concoct some elaborate hypothetical situation to get people to answer my question) |

I'd like to know where I'm going - to prepare for the ride. |

It's generally metaphorical. |

okay, still don't get it, don't know what the metaphor is; chalk this up to my being thick-headed. |

Knowing where I'm going. But I'd mostly prefer knowing where I am. |

Knowing where i have been is what I prefer |

I think it is very advantageous to have goals and a plan so you know where you are going. It’s also important to know where you have been so you can learn from your experiences. |

By knowing where you have been allows you to gauge where you are headed, so I would rather know where I have been so I may know where to go back to, and where not to go back to. When I look forward I see infinity, I jump forward, then I look backward, to see how far I made it! |

Where I'm going would be better. No regrets. |

What a strange question.
I already know where I've been. By default, I would choose where I'm going .. albeit, that takes the surprise out of everything. |
