What do you prefer to watch: television programs or movies?

For the purpose of this survey, television programs are considered to be episodic television shows (or news programs, infomercials, etc). Movies are . . . movies, be it a theatrical release of a Made-for-TV movie.

Movies only, as in Netflix rentals. To me, TV's mainly junk.

No preference. I'm not really into movies or TV at all. I watch them too infrequently to have developed a preference in this area.

 * check * I have no preference

I like movies but I usually do not have the time to devote to sitting down for two hours. I watch the history channel and Discovery and a sit-com once in a while but TV puts me to sleep.

I really like both. I probably watch more TV shows, and I especially like that you can get more than just a couple of hours of them if you really like the characters and the storylines. It's also nice that they're quicker than a movie, if I want to watch something but don't have two hours. That said, I like movies equally in principle, even if I don't watch them as much.

TV ... it took me some thought to settle on that answer. A lot of TV is crap, though there are certainly plenty of bad movies. Movies seem to reach greater heights in various ways (emotionally, artistically, just potentially cooler, bigger budgets). But, there is also some great TV. TV gets more time to build its story; the best shows tend to be story arcs. A TV show is more like reading a novel (in a good way). When it comes down to it, most nights I prefer to watch TV shows. This is lame, but it's because they are usually not as intense and I can do other things while watching or just generally not have to pay 100% attention to them.

This is a hard choice, but I'd honestly say I prefer a really good TV series over a really good movie.

I have no preference - I like both.

Went to see 'You don't mess with the Zohan' today at the cinema. Wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

I prefer movies. I don`t like waiting a week to find out what happens next, or worrying about missing a week and being completely lost next episode. TV is too much hassle for me.
