The state of being human. Humankind. I know what it is, but I'm no good at defining things like this. |

I don't know, an exclamation. OH THE HUMANITY. |

The sense that we are all the same and an understanding of each other's basic needs and rights. |

Humanity has different denotative and connotative meanings. Humanity can imply fallibility, the sum total of human existence, being compassionate or empathetic, and many other things; this question is not easily answered. |

I'm not good at these questions.
All the humans and their achievements. |

It has 2 meanings, that come to mind:
1. All humans, taken as a whole.
2. The quality of people to be kind, supportive of each other (humane). |

A mix of dumb, average, smart people; mix of good inbetween, evil people. |

Humanity is war. Humanity is factories pumping out pollution into the air and the ocean. Humanity is elephants balancing on one foot on a tiny stool in a circus. Humanity is children playing violent video games. Humanity is, unfortunately, nothing to be proud of. But here we are. |

The nature homo sapiens are inclined to; what that is exactly depends on the context. |

"Seat thyself sultanically among the moons of Saturn, and take high abstracted man alone; and he seems a wonder, a grandeur, and a woe. But from the same point, take mankind in mass, and for the most part, they seem a mob of unnecessary duplicates, both contemporary and hereditary." -"Moby Dick", Herman Melville |

It's a term we apply to "us" and deny "them". |

Humanity is caring about another person or just having the heart to help somebody who is not so fortunate |

Some would say humanity is merely a state of existing, but it's surely more complicated than that. Humanity is the flawed and imperfect part of reality that conincides with the beauty of human nature. |

I didn't study last night.
When a group of humans, on planet earth, get together and have a pot luck. Everyone has a great time, no one picks on any one else, everyone has a happy belly and the time seems like it never ends. A great time is had by all. |

> Humanity is all people.
...at a pot luck! |

Totally changes the energy of 'humanity' when said like that |

A crazy notion that other people actually matter and especially strangers of other ethnic backgrounds. |

"Oh the Humanity!" (When the Hindenburg burned and crashed) is always the first thing I think of.
Humanity is too complex for me to elucidate all the implications in a single sentence. |
