Actually yeah, I have. I can't remember any specific titles, but I know I've done this.

Probably not since I rarely buy books from stores.

Almost. I don't really buy books, but when I get them from the library I use the library receipt.

No, I've never done this. I've almost always folded down a page corner if I needed to mark my spot. (I only do this in my own books, never in books I borrow or that aren't mine!)

Yes.

What a strange question.

I hate when people borrow my books though, and either turn pages down, or leave the book bent backwards (bending the spine) to mark their place. I love my books SOOOO much and can't stand to see them getting tatty.

> getting tatty.

? Is this a word? I like it, it looks like something I would make up *smile* I'm going to be speaking Scottish sooner than later!

Tatty is indeed a word - definition is 'somewhat worn or shabby'

It sounds a step up from 'tattered', very worn. that's what we say, tattered and torn. Well, at least 35 or more years ago.
Tatty sounds nicer.

I use the receipt from my library books as a bookmark, so I marked yes.

Of course! It happens mostly in airports when I buy a book to read on the plane.
