Yes I do, but I can get away without wearing them |

Yes; I've needed them since I was in fifth or sixth grade. I didn't have to wear them all the time until I was in graduate school, though. |

Yes, without them I am pretty much completely blind. I've had them since Kindergarten. |

I started needing them in my late 30s especially to read, then last year I got LASIK.
Now, I don't need them, but I will need reading glasses within a few years.
I'm trying to enjoy my few remaining years of glasses-free living. |

I wear glasses, but I don't wear them all the time like I should. |

I've worn glasses, all the time, for the last 5 to 7 years. I know I could work myself out of them, but I'm just not consistent...and you have to be for 4 months. I started in my middle 40's to wear glasses for reading. Glasses are nothing more than crutches, weakens the eyes. |

For some people eye glasses we need them to see they are a must have , I cannot see anything or read without my eye glasses let alone driving a car and completely blind without your glasses would be very dangerous! to you and other drivers on the road plus the fact is my whole entire family we all wear eye glasses runs in the family. |

Stress causes 95% of all vision problems. There is a Dr. Bates method of training yourself out of glasses. About twenty years ago, I went to a seminar on this subject. My eyes were failing me, I had to start wearing glasses, which I hated to do. I strictly followed only a few of the exercises, and within two weeks, I could read the telephone directory WITHOUT GLASSES. To make a more permanent adjustment, it takes 4 months of strictly doing the exercises. They're not hard, only takes minutes a day. My problem is, as my husband says, I have the knowledge, but don't do it for myself. BUT I KNOW IT WORKS. I'm seriously soon going to get on a regimen of exercising my eyes....I need to...I'm diabetic.

My sister in Florida she is diabetic as well but i never heard training yourself out of eye glasses , plus there is laser surgery to correct your vision and some people claim it works for them , working in housekeeping before i was about
ready to get contact lenses because my glasses can get in the way when cleaning rooms .
So yes if you have the knowledge then by all means go ahead and get started and let me know how this turns out for
you? And yes being diabetic...it would be a great idea! to exercise your eyes and we all get lazy as we get older and
older i know that I am lazy!!
And could it be possible you just were not meant to have eye glasses in the first place? Because you said your eyes were failing you and when you started wearing glasses Jean and me myself it has been all my life wearing glasses. |

No, I have very good eyesight |
LJD |
There are hereitary propensities to certain eye problems, such as near sightedness...which is inherited, but far sightedness isn't.
There are doctors offices that have people that can train you out of glasses. I know it works, I just have to put my mind to it. |

I got confused! I answered "Yes, I currently wear glasses." and I also answered "Other". I currently wear glasses when I read but I do not need them to drive or walk around.

Well, I wore them for a good ten years of my life (I'm 18 now), but I've been wearing contacts for a year. So I don't currently wear them, but I'll always NEED them .. ya know. Just in case. My eyesight is just terrible. |
| JohnCD | | posted 7-Sep-2008 12:14am |
I only wear my glasses when I do a lot of reading. I have a weak prescription and see very well without them. I can read without my glasses, but after a while, my eyes start to bother me. |

No except for reading after having cataract and lens replacement surgery. |
