No, I have no desire to switch religions. I like my religion..and we're not crazy..which is a plus. |

I grew up with no real religion, though my parents were supposed to be Methodists. However, ours was not a religious family at all -- parents just gave "lip service" to "God" like they thought they needed to mention it once in a while. When I was a kid I thought it might be cool to be a Catholic. I thought they had interesting rituals and I liked the cross-necklaces some kids wore. And I've always been attracted to old Spanish/Mexican/early American-West Missions as far back as I could remember -- especially the architecture. But I never followed thru on becoming Catholic and chose Buddhism as a young adult cuz it made more sense to me. |

The question doesn't seem to match the answers ("then decided not to later on"?)...
I was raised Catholic. I never really liked it much. When I left home, I stopped going.
It's hard to say at what point I became an atheist. |

No, not really. I just switched from sorta Catholic to sorta agnostic / nothing. That doesn't really constitute as a switch to something else. |

Atheist.
I'm not wishy washy about this kind of thing.
I don't really understand people that change religions. You have this deeply held belief, and you can just change what you believe at the drop of a hat because XX Church is closer to your neighborhood or because you marry someone who goes there. |

I have never had any religious inclination. |

Confused by the questions and the options...they contradict each other.
I did think of switching to another religion and DID (Anglican to Catholic). There is an option for this which I chose but it doesn't really answer the question.

Yes, disallusioned with the Catholic church, I wandered around town and sat in on several different churches. I decided not to do any of that and remained spiritual but not religious. |

I am glad I grew up Catholic, it makes a nice 'starter' religion for those that are serious about faith and spirituality. |

The rituals seemed interestingly "mysterious" to a little kid who'd not been exposed to anything except bland, bland, bland and so little of any kind of "religion" anyway. I liked the candles and the incense a lot. |

My answer is yes, and I have changed my beliefs - however, I don't feel that it was really a choice to go from having them to losing them, so I just picked I'd thought of it.
There was a time in my life when I tried to banish my beliefs, but it simply didn't work. I realized I was being foolish to give up because of my own sadness. |

<-- Christian, btw. I saw everyone else was actually telling the religion and I felt awkward. :) |

Yes, I've thought of doing this, but did not actually follow through |
