| romkey | posted 5-Nov-1999 7:39pm I've had so many of them... in general they work out well, in general they're with well established, reputable vendors |
| bill | posted 5-Nov-1999 8:46pm I tend to prefer a web interface over talking to someone over the phone - it's less error prone and more at my own pace. So, my experience is mostly very good. |
| Pomeranian | posted 5-Nov-1999 8:52pm I have had some online purchasing experiences that were excellent, some routine and a few hellish. Overall, the good ones have outweighed the bad ones. |
| fooyun | posted 5-Nov-1999 9:21pm Smoothest business transaction, plus excellent customer service. |
| SueBee | posted 5-Nov-1999 10:28pm I recently purchased a scanner online. It was very quick and easy. |
| romkey | posted 6-Nov-1999 12:25am bill - I tried to order some stuff from Frontgate once and stuff kept disappearing from the shopping cart and coming back later. I wasn't sure what I'd actually end up ordering because of that. Their software looked very pretty but it really sucked to use... that's one of my negative experiences. In general I agree with you though. |
| magbast | posted 6-Nov-1999 1:01am i've had some good and some bad... |
| Mariah | posted 6-Nov-1999 3:30am No option for "Never had an online shopping experience"? This survey is getting a bad from me! |
| jjg | posted 6-Nov-1999 9:24am The closest thing to online shopping that I've actually done is bidding on ebay. I counted that. I've had a good experience. Mostly I just use websites to get specs on things that I'm interested in, then I buy them in a store. |
| pandora | posted 6-Nov-1999 4:33pm Here's comes a bleh. |
| supplicant | posted 7-Nov-1999 7:15am I am on the other side of the world from anywhere I would actually want to order from (local online stores don't discount enough to make it worth me going there, and don't have stock I can't just buy from shops I walk past regularly) - basically this means things are going to either be very expensive, or take a very long time to get here - so it's pretty much impossible for me to have an 'excellent' experience :) But it's been ok so far. |
| lelle | posted 7-Nov-1999 12:13pm Pet peeve button pushed. |
| kristalynn | posted 7-Nov-1999 12:47pm It was kind of bad because the thing I ordered took 2 months to get but I think that's just because they were out of stock or something. I'll do it again some day when i have money. |
| cpierson | posted 8-Nov-1999 9:42am Depends on the experience. Plane tickets _always_ go well for me. Books, too. I've ordered a computer, however, from a major online computer seller, and it's been a serious clusterf***. |
| Gamera | posted 8-Nov-1999 1:36pm I shop on line a fair amount. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it sucks. This feels like a marketing survey though. bleh. |
| grmbrand | posted 10-Nov-1999 4:12pm I've never really had a bad online shopping experience. |
| eloradanan | posted 29-May-2006 8:45pm I don't shop online. |
| kitkat | posted 16-May-2007 4:27am I've never shopped online. |
| krazykatlady | posted 18-May-2007 4:02pm I just placed an order for the first time with Vermont Country Store online for Lifebuoy soap. Placing the order was very smooth and easy and I received nearly instant e-mail conformation of the order. Their website was easy to maneuver through, which I consider a plus. I've shopped at a few other websites, but some of them aren't very user friendly. |
