Do you walk away from your meal still chewing your last bite (or two) ?

When you sit to eat, do you finish the meal completely or do you walk away from the table with the last bite (or two) still in chewing motion. That is, are you up and off to the next task with food still in the mouth or swallowing it.

We sit down as a family to eat our evening meal and don't get up until everyone is finished

All the time. I see no reason to sit there when you don't need the plate and table anymore.

I tend to eat at my computer or in front of the TV (sometimes, both). So, walking away isn't usually something I'm prone to do per se. But, it may happen, I really don't pay much attention to it. I do eat while walking around too. I eat all the time, so essentially every permutation of this happens.

Sometimes, if I'm in a rush or the only one eating.

Yes, most of the time. I realized that I did that about a year ago, and than when I put more thought into it, I realized I have done it alot longer than that. I don't know when it started, or why I do it, or why I cannot stop that habit. I focus on not doing that, and I can make myself sit which seems like a freaking eternity, until I stand up and walk to the sink with my plate. If I don't think about it, there I am walking away with my mouth full with the last bite. What the hell is wrong with me?

There's nothing wrong with it at all! It's a natural inclination for efficiency. I do it all the time, even consciously aware of it. I have no reservations about doing this. I honestly see no problem with it.

Not really. I just try to wolf it down before my appetite goes away. Unless the meat is really chewy.

Nada. If I pay to have a meal at a sit-down place, I take my time. No need to rush.
