This hasn't happened to me. There isn't much that scares me. I guess if it happened, I'd piss myself laughing (oh, wait. Bladder already empty) and go home and bathe.

I love astronomy also; in fact I built a large 6” f-10 refractor telescope. I was also into deep space photography. I have special equipment to hyper-sensitize the file emulsion for timed exposure photos. Cool stuff! I havn’t done it recently but you sparked my interest again.

I think I'm going to save up and buy a telescope (though the light pollution where I live is awful, I'll have to find a field ) but in the meantime I'm perfectly content learning things through the NASA podcasts and that. It's surprisingly easy to pick up.

Yes. It just makes me feel very small.

Space's inaccessibility is a lot of the appeal for me. It all just seems so untouched, and so vast, that the idea of a higher being conducting all the movements there I find quite scary.

But, at the same time, you know, very deep down I'm probably agnostic - which I suppose is a step in the right direction

Nothing. I'm usually the one doing the scaring, but if I must answer this one, it's so obveous. You'll have wet underware and pants, and you'll smell like piss.

A sweet empathetic person will get a towel or coat and cover you up, give you words of sympathy, and help you duck away and find a place to get new clothes.

Or at least, that's what should happen.

That's never happened to me. I forget the autonomic innervation of the bladder, but I suppose it must be part of the fight or flight response .
