Sometimes, but I also like fart jokes. So what does that say about me? |
moviesnob | | posted 30-Sep-2008 3:25pm |
No, because odds are I wouldn't have anything to contribute to the conversation. |
Iseult | | posted 30-Sep-2008 3:31pm |
No. I feel that the things I talk about to people are serious/important/deep enough. |
Melf | | posted 30-Sep-2008 4:11pm |
Yes. Or, rather, that I had more people to talk to them about. Len and I have some seriously awesome conversations, but she's pretty much the only one. |
Enheduanna | | posted 30-Sep-2008 4:18pm |
Not at all. I think the various people I hang out with talk about a good mix of serious and silly things. |
LindaH | | posted 30-Sep-2008 5:02pm |
Yes, quite often, especially when they are talking about TV or sports, or gossiping about other people. |

No, I'm not dead. |

No, just the opposite. I can't stand serious, deep conversations. It wears me out. I mostly wish no one ever talked at all. |
romkey | | posted 30-Sep-2008 7:08pm |
The "people I am with" already talk about serious and important things. |
| JessicaWoman99 | | posted 30-Sep-2008 7:09pm |
Yes sometimes and it all depends |

Yes. Life is way too short to continue remarking about the weather or lack of. "How are you" should be said with earnestness, saying "fine" pretty much denies the question. Some people don't need to connect on a deeper level, but I'm not one of them. I like to know about people, what they experience, how they think and feel and why. Politics, religion, health, security, goals, values, creative expression, self esteem. Makes me crazy when the talk around me is just about what to make for dinner . . . me, I'd want to know why you made your choice, what influenced you, and what you know about nutrition. Kick me. |

Yes and no. Because while there are those I know who are happy with talking about superficial drivel, there are also those I know who talk about deep things but they complain, complain, complain. Three of the "deepest" people I know are also big-time whiners. |

Yes, instead of a lot of small talk. |
jettles | | posted 30-Sep-2008 10:23pm |
some of them yes but my friends are serious, important and deep when i need them to be |

Sort of. I'm a news junkie... so I'm pretty familiar with current events. Sometimes with work friends, I'll want to bring up something I read... and no one seems to care much about what I care about in the news... lately it's been politics and melamine.
But my wonderful SO will sit and listen to me go on about it. He's as interested as I am. |
Kristal_Rose |
With some people, yes. The people I do spend most of my time talking with are deep talkers. |

*shrugs* ........... sometimes, though I am an immature bastard |

Yes I do. One of the problems with my work is seeing the same customers day in, day out.
Not many people go to the pub to have deep, philosophical conversations so instead I'm left with dross to chat about. |
cloudhugger |
Good grief no, I hear far more than I need to hear. |
| Gomezy3k |
No because I usually do not listen to what others around me are saying...so who cares ROFLMAO |

Nature gifted me with a talent for conversation, so nobody bores me. |
