I'm going to say "yes" because a pizza seems like a special case where one should assume it's owned by whoever got it.
Though, I also think that eldest brother is being a bit of a wanker for demanding payment. He should cut some slack for this first offense. |

The point is, the pizza was not her's to eat. I feel the resolve is simple, she can treat her brother to the next pizza. |

she had no idea that it belonged to her brother........... So she assumed it was bought by the parents?
My answer is no............. seems a litttle wrong but jeez its Brother and Sister? |

No, the bro did not put his name on the pizza. When mom buys the food to feed the family, I guess it is fair game. Good luck to the sis here, I think he's wrong. |

Wow, quite an array of answers here already. |

My first reaction is to say no because I'd like to strangle my own brother at this moment. It's just pizza, there's really nothing special about it. If he's hungry he can eat something else. |

No she should not have to pay for the pizza but it would not hurt if she offered to help with the pizza which i would do. |

No but at future time share a pizza with her brother. |

If the pizza was his he should have put his name on it. |

Sounds like they need to make an agreement on who can eat what. For example, make the rule that you can't eat anything you didn't purchase, or which wasn't purchased specifically for you. Or they could each have their own shelf in the refrigerator and kitchen cabinet. If these people are young adults they should be able to come to an agreement over how to make sure this doesn't happen again. |

No. I'd chalk it up to a learning experience. |

I am so confused. Most replys are yes the sister should pay...but the big number is on 'No'. |

No, but she could treat him to a pizza sometime, or share the next one she buys. |

Technically not since personal food is labelled in this household. However, I think the sister should offer to pay once she found out about the entire scenario. |

The pizza buyer should have established with the whole family that the pizza was his. |

Well, this girl DID eat the entire pizza ..
So I think it seems fair. You can't piss on someone's car and tell them it's okay because you didn't know who it belonged to. |

Should? yes.
Have to? No |
