Nuts (I eat nut butters instead) -- don't like crunchy stuff; barley and other really coarse grains; broccoli sometimes, especially the stems; bok choy stems; any other kind of crunchy chewy veggie stems, like uncooked celery, or celery with a lot of "strings" in it; plain milk (only like evaporated or pure cream); apples. |

I don't think I do this. There are a few vegetables I won't eat because they upset my stomach. Broccoli is one of them, which bums me out because I actually like it. I ate a little bit of some last week, although I ate the stem and very little of the head, which is the part that makes me sick. I was fine. So I may try adding a little bit of it back into my diet occasionally. I don't think I've ever tried wheat grass, but that's because I haven't had the opportunity, not because I stubbornly refuse it. I can't think of a healthy food I would refuse just because I thought it seemed gross or unappetizing. I guess if someone suddenly discovered that bugs were the healthiest thing in the world for you, though, I would refuse to eat them. |

I eat almost everything.
I can't think of a situation in which I stubbornly refused to eat anything... unless I just wasn't hungry.
I choose foods for many reasons besides them being good or bad for me.
I think my problem with food is more that I eat too much of it and thus I'm overweight which could lead to various health problems.
I'm generally skeptical of some claims/reports about this or that food being good or bad.
Wheat grass does seem nasty, but I'm not sure I really know much about it. |

fish? |
romkey | | posted 12-Aug-2008 2:58pm |
I really dislike seafood, and all the health benefits of it in the world would probably not get me to eat it. I also buy fruit thinking I will and should eat it rather than cookies or other baked goods, and then ... never get around to it.

Indeed |

Yeah, I'm skeptical of some of the claims too... in fact, wheat grass was recently debunked. I put it in the list because I figured some people might believe it was good for them. And seafood... while fatty fish should have a lot of omega 3's, which is good... it often comes along with lead and mercury... not so good. |
Melf | | posted 12-Aug-2008 4:08pm |
I know they're good for you (though I'm sceptical about red wine), but I don't like any of the above as a whole. I'm the fussiest eater I know. |
Melf | | posted 12-Aug-2008 4:10pm |
Oh right, you meant as in liking it or not liking it. Then I refuse to eat
Salmon and other omega-3 rich seafood
Whole grains (unless they're in Cheerios!)
Wheat grass (I don't even know what it is)
Red wine
Vegetables (except for potatos and carrots)
Fruits (except for apples, grapes, kiwi fruit, and maybe a couple of others) |

Red wine is unpleasant and grainy. I'll eat everything else on the least. I MUST eat more fruit though. |
jettles | | posted 12-Aug-2008 6:07pm |
i eat all of these!! |
romkey | | posted 13-Aug-2008 12:23am |
The list of foods I gave are just examples of things that some people claim are healthful for you. I'm not offering an opinion as to whether or not they are... they're just a start on a possible list of things you might think are healthful for you to eat. |
romkey | | (reply to Melf) posted 13-Aug-2008 12:24am |
You're lucky not knowing what wheat grass is... it's basically grass juice... really gross.
Part of the fruit problem for me is that fruits aren't really very good if they're not in season or if they've travelled a long way (due to not being in season, probably). On the other hand, when they're in season, there's nothing to compare with a fresh juicy peach. |

Red wine gives me a headache |
kcthedog | | posted 13-Aug-2008 1:30am |
None of the above. |
cerealkiller | | posted 13-Aug-2008 7:28pm |
Wheat grass?
I am allergic to wine, only veggies I get are lettuce and tomatoes on my burgers, fruit mostly sucks but I do eat a few bananas a week, whole grain is boring and seafood mostly sucks except shrimp which I'm allergic to but love to eat anyhow. |

Yes i eat all my fruits and vegetables plus i love salmon but wheat grass what ever that is |
moviesnob | | posted 14-Aug-2008 10:02am |
I can't stand most red wines. It makes me gag to drink them. And I'm pretty picky about which veggies I eat. I'm fond of zucchini, asparagus . . . um . . . that's about it! I can abide lettuce as well. |
cloudhugger | | posted 16-Aug-2008 4:06pm |
Fruits. The texture often grosses me out, plus if there is any indication of bugs I will freak. |
cloudhugger | | (reply to romkey) posted 16-Aug-2008 4:08pm |
I get my omega 3's out of a bottle it comes in ahandy little pill. |
romkey |
I get mine from a bottle, too... walnuts are also a good source. |
Iseult | | posted 16-Aug-2008 9:40pm |
Red Wine, but only because I can't stand the taste. There are few red wines I like. |
cloudhugger | | (reply to romkey) posted 17-Aug-2008 9:26am |
Really? Didn't know that. Those get pretty expensive sometimes. |

Veggies, of course.
I like some, but I can barely swallow a bite of cabbage or celery. |

Yeah, all but fruits and fish, I'll eat that but pass on the rest most of the time |
