I prefer books, but that's not to say I don't watch TV.
Can't stand watching televisations or films of books that I've read though - I always seems to have imagined it very differently from the director and it's just wrong. Like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The film was awful, where as the book was amazing. |

TV. A tv can do much more damage when tossed out a window on something. |

Is this a new kind of cable service? |

Depends. Visual is nice, especially if the program is saved. It is said a visual is stronger in teaching, reaches more than one of the senses. But a book is nice too, always have it at your finger tips. |

For what purpose?
If you're talking about entertainment, why would you think you can generalize this way? They're very different media. |

If I must choose, I say books, but I like both. |

Books. Don't have or watch TV at all. Not for years. I'll rent Netflix for films but didn't like to pay for high cable fees for the junk that was available to watch. Books are free to check out at the library and come cheap at garage sales. |

I think question marks are better than television. |

Books, definitely books. |

Ha! Awesome.
And
You eat clementines by the crate‽ |
bill | | (reply to Melf) posted 11-Aug-2008 11:56am |
Wow, I said that almost exactly 10 years ago. I was young a foolish then!
doesn't everyone eat clementines by the crate? They come from Spain... very small. Not a crate in 1 sitting. not a very large crate...

Frostbrand | | posted 11-Aug-2008 12:04pm |
It really depends on the story being told. |
Melf | | (reply to bill) posted 11-Aug-2008 12:13pm |
Oh - they're Spanish - that explains it then. No it doesn't. Still. Hmm. |
| JessicaWoman99 | | posted 11-Aug-2008 12:28pm |
Television is better than books at least it is not so boring |
bill | | (reply to Melf) posted 11-Aug-2008 12:40pm |

Oh right - it isn't!! |
cloudhugger | | (reply to Cain) posted 12-Aug-2008 9:32pm |
Televisions....not televis ations. It appears to me a hilarious typo, but I mean no disrespect if that is what you call the tv's where you are at. I mean, you call chips crisps for crying out loud
I want to come to your pub and have an ale. Do you think the natives would be ok with that? |
kcthedog | | posted 13-Aug-2008 1:12am |
Books hands down! How do you think they learned how to make television?
From BOOKS! |
Melf |
But... she means a tevision adaptation... more commonly known as a televisation. |
| Cain |
A televisation is when a book, play, etc, is turned into a TV show............

I enjoy both ..
Reading involves a more imagination-geared experience.
TV just rocks my world. |
