I have perfect vision and wear glasses to keep the UV off my corneas (corneae?).

I don't have perfect vision (but I used those answers as they fit best - I don't wear any vision correction equipment). One of my eyes isn't quite as good as the other. But, I have little trouble seeing. I'll probably need some kind of glasses later in life (40's perhaps - not too far off). Part of me thinks that getting glasses will be fun. I'm not sure I'd pursue contacts, I'm a bit squeamish about poking myself in the eye.

Contacts wouldn't work quite as well for my vision as glasses do. Also they would be really expensive.

I wear colored contacts both for corrective purposes and I like the color of them.

I toyed with the idea of getting colored contacts, although I don't need them at all.

Thanks for the "I lost a contact" option. I lost one about 2 years ago and couldn't afford to get another. So now I wear A contact. I tried to put another one in last month and it really bothered me. So I'm happy with my one.

I got glasses mostly for vanity purposes... the fact that they correct the minute discrepancy in my vision was just a bonus.

Of course I haven't worn the black contacts in a while...

I have horrible eyes. I have such a strong prescription. I wear contacts all the time, except right before I go to bed and right after I get up. I like them a lot better than my glasses, which are ugly and uncomfortable.

I had to argue with my eye doctor to get lenses that weren't tinted! Apparently, the new brands of lenses come with a slight blue tint so that you can find them more easily in the little saline case. Now, on most people, the slight blue tint wouldn't show... but my eyes are a very light blue all ready, and I like the color (colors, actually; my eyes change hue depending on my outfit, mood, and weather). I'm kind of vain about being able to say Yes when people ask me, "Ooh, is that your real eye color?" So I really didn't want those blue tinted ones. So my eye doc hunted around and found me a clear pair, but he seemed surprised that I'd mind having an unnatural variation in my eye color.

I have excellent eyesight. Last time I was tested I was told I have 20/10 vision. That means I can see from 20 feet away what most people would have to be 10 feet away to see.

I am nearsighted, but almost never use glasses. My
eyes have got accustomed to adapting themselves
adequately, so that I would not miss glasses (which
are somewhere in a cupboard). I have always supported
very badly the limitation by a certain structure on
my nose and around my eyes, so that I just would use
glasses under special circumstances, e.g. in a role
on the stage.

I get a headache if I look at a computer screen for long without my glasses, but I can't see more that 4 feet or so with them on.

I just got glasses a few days ago and found out that I couldn't see far away at all before. I put them on and everything became 3D. It was cool. I don't think i'm going to wear them all the time though.

I've worn glasses my whole life. Tried contacts for a while, but they were relatively high maintenance, so I switched back. I can see well enough without glasses that this isn't a problem.

I already dont notice ppl when I walk, now without my glasses its even worst :P I just walk past ppl I know and cant even see them... Aaaaaaa well

Contacts correct my eyes way better than glasses can (I "suffer" from hyperopia, astigmatism and strabismus) and I'm supposed to wear them all the time or at least more than the glasses. Unfortunately, my hands are still healing from allergies and I can't wear the contacts because there's the risk of eye infection not to mention the risk of getting allergic to the contacts solutions too. (For those curious, my contacts are extended-wear rigid gas-permeable lenses and I like them better than the equivalent soft lenses.)
