Of course. If a little kid can see a naked real baby (younger sibling) then they can see a fake one. Does no harm at all. |

My mom got me one when I was maybe 4, and I'm doing just wonderful. Wait a second.... |

I'd buy a child BOTH - same AND opposite gender. I think this is a great idea. The more anatomically correct the better. When I was a kid, I used to wonder why they didn't make them more realistic. Why not show a child what the human body really looks like -- including mom dolls with prominent breasts. I would not care what age the kid was either. Why act like the body is something shameful? Kids today know more than people think anyway. |

eeek would never buy my child one oh good heavens |

Along with some condoms, a pack of cigarettes, and a fifth of whiskey.
I don't have a problem with these dolls. I would theoretically get them one of either sex. If I had kids. |

Yes, I would buy my kids anatomically correct dolls. It isn't an age thing to me or a gender thing. They're kind of past the doll stage at this point, though. |

I probably wouldn't buy it |

Just out of curiosity I would wonder if they would make a "baby of color" more anatomically enhanced (urban legend) .
Oh yea the question.... HELL NO!

The problem with the picture is that the arms are too short for him to.......play with himself, that is not anatomically correct! I can remember from my first remembered thought that I had a firm grip on things, so the baby doll is bogus. Another thing I remember my sister having a doll that pee’d does this little guy have a hose? Or is there gender discrimination amongst dollies?

Yes, I would. I think it might later talks on the difference between boys and girls easier. |

Other. I would by my child an anatomically correct doll of either sex. |

Other. I honestly do not know. Babies are far far far from my thought processes. |

That is... creepy.
I might get an anatomically correct child for my doll, though. |

because that could be sending a child the wrong message cause |

What's the message they would be receiving, do tell? |

Sure. They need to start practicing handling the genitals of the other sex for when they grow up. |
| Gomezy3k | | posted 10-Aug-2008 10:42pm |
Sure why not.. genitals are nothing to be ashamed of.. they are a natural part of the body and people need to learn that they are not to be hidden but worn out in public proudly... |

I didn't know they existed. When I was a kid it never made sense to have neutered, asexual dolls. Ken was the worst since his 'thing' was upside down. I have boys of my own and a daughter on the way. As a parent I have mixed feelings on anatomically correct dolls; I don't want my kids sexualized but I don't want them misinformed or hypersensitive. :. Undecided |
