But I only went horse-back riding a handful of times. |

They gave me the slow, old, nice horse. I could barely get it to move. |
Galomorro |
No but it wasn't easy just to get up ON one the one time I tried to ride one. I didn't care for the experience. |
Melf |
No, but I want to learn how to ride a horse. Animals as transport is a mint idea. |

For some reason I feel sorry for horses. |

They get a better deal than sheep and cows
We don't want to eat them, or steal their breast milk, or force them to have babies. We just want to ride em a bit. Rest of the time they're in a big field.
I get it's not the most animal friendly thing to do, though. |

For some reason it was spooked by a lawn chair as we went by and the horse jumped sideways. |

Yes, I did, but luckily it was walking. A friend of mine had a horse and she told me to try riding it (bareback). I just kind of gracefully slid to the ground at one point. |

No. I've come pretty close though. |

Yes, when I put a satttle on a horse for the first time. The satle was too loose and it slid under ths horse's belly. |

Yes, many times. Also had the top of my foot skinned because I was foolishly grooming my horse barefoot when I was a kid. |

Yes, many times. But only one serious accident. The horse put his foot down a rabbit hole, I fell off and the horse came down on top of me, landing on my head. Half of my face was bruised for weeks. |

I have never climbed onto a horse, so no. |

I did ride an elephant once, though. I did not fall off. |

Yes I did while the horse was running due to the saddle not being secured correctly. It was twenty years ago and I was very fortunate not to break any bones or get seriously injured. |

You're lucky you didn't get seriously injured. |

This is true - but I was a kid and children bounce back from all sorts. |

Children definitely bounce back well. I wasn't a kid, but I was 20 years old when I fell of a horse while it was running. I was lucky as well and only suffered some minor bruises. |
