I liked swings and monkey bars. And there were a couple of really cool climbing structures at my primary school. They were on a playground that we couldn't always go on, so they were a special treat. One of them was a sort of small log cabin frame that was fun to climb. The other was one of those big metal-and-log things that's a series of platforms and poles and things at various levels. This one had a big sort of steering wheel thing on it, so we often pretended it was a big ship. It was tons of fun. |

I was a kid who loved all kinds of playground equipment. If I'd had the things kids have now to play on -- imaginative, colorful, futuristic, unusual -- in parks, schools, etc. I would've been in heaven. The apparatus I used to play on was really primitive compared to many I see now. Anyway, I liked to swing most of all I guess. Next I liked stuff to climb on -- I was always climbing something, not only playground stuff; next merry-go-rounds -- I liked to spin a lot. Last I guess were the slides, but if I'd had some of the really long ones, like water slides, when I was a kid that would've been one of the best ones. |

Climbing thingy. Though that pull in your stomach on a see-saw or a swing is always fun. |

Definitely the monkey bars. I loved to climb around on top of them, and hang upside down by my feet. I rarely actually used them for swinging from. |

hard to pick one... I liked the spinning thing, tall swings, also jungle gym bars and such... we had old truck tires you could climb inside off too... great for ambushes |

I was a big fan of swings. I enjoyed jumping off them at the highest point I could. |

See saws were good. But that is the pivotal point in my life where I learned NOt to trust others. So I had to find a new favorite of one which I could not rely or depend on another for fun. That would be...swingset. |

Two similar devices. One was a four person merry-go round teeter-toter like thing which spun around by pumping your feet and hands. The other was a
pedal powered german swing with flying tricycles.
These days none of those would be deemed safe. It seems even merry go-rounds are deemed unsafe (or perhaps just too expensive) these days. My answer to that was a merry-go-round with no rails at all, just a spinning rubber disk at ground level which kids could safely slide off of entirely. |

There's one of those spinning disk things at a park near me. It's bloody terrifying. |

Swings, or clubhouses, I'm no longer really a kid but I still love that stuff. |

I hated playgrounds. Too many obnoxious bullies. I liked the monkey bars though. |
