- The Berkshire mountains of Massachussetts, in autumn, during sunset

- The Grand Teton mountains of Wyoming, with everything glowing softly in the morning alpenglow

There is a lake, somewhere in VT, that is sandwiched between two shear cliffs. It is stunning.

My home is in Asheville, NC. In the fall you can drive up on the Parkway and look at the Blue Ridge Mountains. The are shining with the bright color of leaves changing and the air is a crisp blue with little whispy clouds hanging around. The mountains really do have a blue tint to them. You can see houses down in the valley. Awesome. Breath-taking.

I can't pick any particular place. The coast of Maine, the Scottish Highlands & Islands, the South Island in New Zealand, a small farm in New Hampshire, they're all gorgeous. There are many more places that I've only seen pictures of that all promise to be extremely beautiful.

I've seen many...but faves are

The moors in Southern England early on a spring morning, fog cut with shafts of sunlight....the smell of renewal and promise of hope seen through 9 year old eyes.
Breathtaking.

Glacier National Park in Montana....driving up and up and up...majesty all around me....waterfalls and jagged peaks....head in the clouds.

The fields of the Skagit Valley during the spring...row after row of brilliant eye popping reds and yellows and purples...TULIP FESTIVAL!

Mount Rainier from an aeroplane....at sunrise...half awake....

A beach somewhere in South Carolina as the tide paints the color of the sunrise on the sand...
The sun sparkling on the snow at the top of a sledding hill where you can almost taste the cold...
The mist on the creek, with the hoot of an owl haunting your ears and the grass coated in dew drenching your feet...
Iowan woods in the spring when the bluebells are blooming...
I haven't traveled much but I'm very observant * smile *

Wicksy: It depends. Many people confuse Iceland and Greenland. Greenland is undeniably harsh and definitely could be mistaken for the inside of a freezer. Similarly, if your only experience with Iceland is Keflavik (the major airport associated with Reykjavik), you might also think that the barren wasteland is freezer-like.

On the other hand, if you explore the country outside of Reykjavik, you might find it to be awe-inspiring and quite beautiful...

I would have to say Farnahm Park, just because I was with my brother and his friends the first time I had ever really spent any time with him in my whole life (he lives in england and I am in the u.s.a.). It was just beautiful.
Most people would say that where I used to live was the most beautiful, but nope, not to me.
