Sometimes i do talk with my friend during a movie |
Galomorro | | posted 20-Jul-2008 10:36pm |
No, I don't talk during the rare times I see films with someone else, and it's very distracting to me when others talk. One reason I don't like seeing movies in theaters is because of the noise people make. |

Only during my lines |

No, that seems kind of dumb, especially if you are paying those outrageous prices. |

people who talk during movies are the worst. |

I don't talk, I whisper. Big difference. We're very quiet. If someone shushes me I'll nod and shut up - but that's never happened, and I whisper at most films I go to see. |

No, I don't talk during movies and I feel like punching someone who does........... the worse one is when someone has seen it before and they say things like "watch! watch! this part this is good" |
Matty | | posted 21-Jul-2008 8:00am |
yes and no. If I like a movie, I won't talk, and vice-versa. |

Depends on where, with who, what's going on in the movie, etc. |

I mostly don't talk during movie (maybe just a little, rarely). I don't mind if other people do it quietly or just a little. If they do it a lot or loudly, it can annoy me, but it doesn't seem to annoy me as much as it annoys other people. |
Lahdee | | posted 21-Jul-2008 10:40am |
Not much, but if I do, only the person next to me can hear me, so I have never been shushed. |
Frostbrand | | posted 21-Jul-2008 11:22am |
No, and I generally don't approve of it, though I make allowances for excited outbursts, such as "Whoa!" after a major unexpected plot twist, or a "Yes!" when the bad guy gets his in a very satisfying way. That is quite different from "Oh hey, that extra there in the bank, I went to high school with that guy!" |

If I'm with my boyfriend, I make a lot of flippant comments during the movie, but that's only if we're watching it at home. If we're in a theater, no talking. And it pisses me off when other people talk. |
| RainingFeathers | | posted 21-Jul-2008 11:47am |
Yes, a little bit. Mostly just things like "No, don't open the door! He's in there!" or "Okay, the monster is -right there-. You can see it out the window. *Why* are you going outside!"
I don't carry on conversations during the movies though. Just my comments on the stupidity of the characters. |
Enheduanna | | posted 21-Jul-2008 11:51am |
At the movie theater, I occasionally whisper something to the person next to me, but I usually wait for a good pause in the dialogue. At home, or at someone else's house, I'll make the occasional comment, since there's a pause and a rewind if it means we miss something. I do also hate it when someone shushes me. |
romkey | | posted 21-Jul-2008 11:54am |
Only to yell at people who are talking during them. |
romkey |
An then there's Noh theater where it's time to kill the fudging gaijin sitting next to you who can't stop giggling. |

I was just thinking about that a few minutes ago, while I was reading Nathan's blog about Kyoto. That was a great trip, despite such horrifying behavior! |

Only if it's something like a movie made for 6 year olds and they're puppets and we're just watching it to laugh at, in which case comments can only make it funnier. Or the very small, occasional, "Is that the same guy" Otherwise my blood boils. |

At the cinema? No, I don't talk (except in the quietest of quiet whispers to my partner) and it really annoys me when people do. |
| Jody | | posted 21-Jul-2008 3:19pm |
I talk as little as possible during the movies, and when I do I whisper. |
cloudhugger | | posted 21-Jul-2008 10:57pm |
Occasionally, but most of the people I am with ignore me. It's ok. |
cloudhugger | | posted 21-Jul-2008 11:03pm |
Movies at home?? I don't like to, I like to watch the movie. I only talk if something important comes to mind like "did you feed the dog?".
I have to rant about the "pause" feature in our direct tv. I am so hating it. It takes several hours or up to a few days to watch a single little movie because someone in the house has to pause the fudging movie every 10 minutes everytime someone says something , or get a glass of water...or go to the bathroom. |

I rarely talk during movies and when I do, I whisper. I don't go to the movie theaters very often; about once every three or four years. |

sometimes. i would never talk in a theater, but would be so inclined to in my home or in the company of certain individuals |

Small remarks, but that's about it. I'm not a chatterbox, and I like to enjoy the movie. |
