| Matty | posted 17-Jul-2008 7:47am I probably wouldn't have noticed; we are so bombarded with advertisements that I don't pay attention to stickers and other stuff. |
| bill | posted 17-Jul-2008 8:38am I tend to be cautious and I do try to be extra cautious if I see a warning sign. I know they are usually there for a good reason. The prosthetic image does make the point nicely. |
| cloudhugger | posted 17-Jul-2008 9:49am You know I would be laughing my ass of and falling itno the gears trying to read the small print. I have spent time pondering what kind of mind would come up with that...claw...to make a point. I have decided it was a very pissed off house wife who had to go out and get a job to support the family because the idiot of a husband went and got his hand cut off. So this pissed off house wife found that there were more like her, married to fudging morons* and decided to form a support group, it grew large enough to than become government recognized as a force in being careful or your wife will get realy pissed if you go and get your hand cut off and you will be stuck with a claw for the rest of your miserable life.
*I mean no disrespect to fudging morons |
| Cain | posted 17-Jul-2008 10:58am I would appreciate the warning and probably be more careful than if I hadn't seen it. |
| Melf | posted 17-Jul-2008 11:40am Yes, but I'd still find it very funny. |
| LJD | posted 17-Jul-2008 12:07pm Yes, there is a reason for the sticker. Years, ago I knew a man that was working on his car, under the hood. He asked someone to help him, behind the steering wheel, to start the car when he told them to....well, the person behind the wheel started the car at the wrong time, cutting off the fingers of our friend...the person behind the wheel "thought" he heard Walt say to start the car, when in fact he did not....the point is he didn't listen......if you see a sign or sticker that leads you to believe there can be a problem....LISTEN, heed the warning. |
| Enheduanna | posted 17-Jul-2008 12:09pm Yes, it would remind me to be extremely careful. I think it's a good warning and more effective than "Caution" would be. |
| llamamama | posted 17-Jul-2008 4:26pm No, I don't live in Illinois. |
| aquawolfy | posted 17-Jul-2008 5:56pm I'd fall in trying to read the small print....... |
| Crayons | posted 17-Jul-2008 6:06pm Yikes. I want a t-shirt with this on it. Maybe it would make my life a little easier. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 19-Jul-2008 1:10am Duh i would fall into the machinery gears just trying to read the label |
| JessicaWoman99 | (reply to aquawolfy) posted 19-Jul-2008 1:13am > I'd fall in trying to read the small print.......
Gee we would both fall in and get grinded up to a pulp LoL] My eye sight is not all that good |
| jindalmeenakshi9 | posted 20-Jul-2008 10:40am Safety is foremost for me for normal operation of even daily chores |
| Gomezy3k | posted 20-Jul-2008 10:59am Well since I try to be careful around any equipment it wouldn't make much difference to me what sticker is there.... |
| LindaH | posted 20-Jul-2008 12:43pm No more seriously than if it was a regular sign. |
| penguin388 | posted 20-Jul-2008 10:50pm That is so creepy! But creepy in, like, a really weird way. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to penguin388) posted 21-Jul-2008 7:43am Thank you! You are the only one so far who seen the sign as I did. How can you possibly take that seriously, rather than a sign that just said "careful!" |
| aquawolfy | (reply to JessicaWoman99) posted 30-Jul-2008 7:53pm but then we'd be friends forever! we'd be quite inseparable!!!

| justjulie | posted 17-Aug-2008 8:30am the funniest warning sticker i ever saw was on a hospital TV in denver...it was of a little man dressed nicely in a suit complete w/ a bowler hat, and he was impaled through the neck w/ the arm of the TV stand, (you know that hospital TV are mounted high up on the wall w/ a swing-like arm thing, so it can be moved/adjusted)
hilarious! |
| kcthedog | posted 17-Aug-2008 12:38pm Obviously the warning was meant for women who are less then mechanically savvy, I personally as a male I already know gears can be dangerous and so can machinery in general, but that just goes to show you, women should stay in the kitchen and away from farm equipment. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to justjulie) posted 8-Sep-2008 10:04am OMG that is freaking hilarious! How can that be taken seriously!? I would have laughed myself silly and probably ended up impaling myself with something else. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to kcthedog) posted 8-Sep-2008 10:06am Listen here pal...were you being facetious? Or are you really believing that?
did you say that to get a response? To start something? It is a fact that women are better mechanics than men. They have more patience and tend to take things apart NOT using a hammer. The only reason men say assinine things like this is to keep all the fun, high paying jobs for themselves by brainwashing women into thinking they are only good for cleaning, which ironically, is what men refuse to do. |
| kcthedog | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 8-Sep-2008 11:37pm Lets take this out back and settle it like men? |
| cloudhugger | (reply to kcthedog) posted 9-Sep-2008 10:47am You picked a bady day for that one my friend...fuk off. |
| kcthedog | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 11-Sep-2008 1:48am I was kidding......... |
| cloudhugger | (reply to kcthedog) posted 11-Sep-2008 10:15am OK, good thing there's emoticons for that. |
| LindaH | posted 11-Sep-2008 12:29pm Oh, there is the picture I was talking about in the wrong side of the bed survey! *goes over there to consider posting it...* |

| justjulie | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 12-Sep-2008 8:20am seriously! i almost peed myself from laughing so hard...in fact, i had to leave the room and adjust my eyes for i really wasn't believing what i was seeing. *blink blink* yup...it's for real |
