| Galomorro | posted 9-Jul-2008 7:44pm I hated the teachers and other kids most. Next, the boring lessons and the way they were taught. And the way they tried to force kids to go out and play team sports in the field whether they wanted to or not. There's nothing I did NOT hate about school. |
| llamamama | posted 9-Jul-2008 8:20pm I didn't really hate or dislike school..
Although, the kids really upset me for most of my school career..(oh my gawd, did I just spell career right?). I would always be made fun of in a less than subtle way which caused me to be very withdrawn and have only one or two friends. That's all different now, I'm not sure if anyone is making fun of me anymore, but I don't much care either. I've gotten to the point that I have enough friends that will go after somebody for me or that will make me feel better..So, ignorance is bliss. I have no desire to know if it's still happening. Oh, and teachers with flabby arms that wear sleeveless shirts. |

| Enheduanna | posted 9-Jul-2008 9:28pm I loved it. That's why I stayed in school for so long! That's college and grad school mostly, though. Elementary and junior high school were less fun because some kids were jerks. High school wasn't so bad, though. |

What I dislike most about school is..................that I was not smart enough to realize what a great thing it is to have the opportunity to learn! I was moved around allot and as a kid my priority was more focused on social issues and not on the ecstasy of the experience of learning. My parents were not well educated and were very little help with my education. I was a poor student and while I consider myself to have a higher than average intelligence. Most of my education has come thru my own reading on subject matter that I found to be interesting, mathematics, science, astronomy, electronics; I was bad in English, history and social studies. (I guess that makes my a left brain dominant) |

From 6th-8th grade, I was bullied horribly. After that, they were afraid of my friends. |
| southernyankee | posted 10-Jul-2008 12:06am High school and below: taking notes that were dictated word for word. That always sucked, as well as pointless. Homeroom, another pointless routine. |

| Melf | posted 10-Jul-2008 5:11am This is more a gripe with the way school is set up. I changed a hell of a lot during high school. People tend to keep their opinion of you from when you are in Year 7. |
| Melf | posted 10-Jul-2008 5:12am Oh yeah, and PE. |

| jettles | posted 10-Jul-2008 5:50am on the whole i really liked school at almost every level............ i guess the cliques/caste system! |
| Matty | posted 10-Jul-2008 7:58am Being there. Most tests were composed of info straight out of the book; I saw no need for teachers because none of them really taught me anything.
For me, classes weren't really necessary until I become a Bacceleaurate candidate, and even then they had limited utility. I only truly needed to attend class to pursue an advanced degree. |
| Matty | (reply to Melf) posted 10-Jul-2008 7:59am That's ironic; PE and sports were the only thing I truly enjoyed about school. |
| bill | posted 10-Jul-2008 8:05am The feeling of boredom. The way everything seemed tedious and drawn out. The lack of excitement from the teachers.
Too many people (especially kids) all in one place. The social aspects were overwhelming and bizarre. I hated gym. The locker-room was all about certain boys trying to humiliated others. Then the gym class itself was usually pretty stupid too. College was mostly good, though. I can't think of anything I hated about that. Though, I was just sick of being in school after a while and was happy to put it behind me. |
| Melf | (reply to Matty) posted 10-Jul-2008 9:05am Oh, I'm awful at most sports. Long jump and short distance running I was good at, and that's it. I didn't much like the teachers, either. |
| Cain | posted 10-Jul-2008 1:35pm I often had a hard time fitting in with the other kids, and I found that quite difficult.
I wish I could go back and tell my childhood self a few things!! And the other kids in my school a few things too. |

All That Crap Learned in High School When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school It's a wonder I can think at all And thou my lack of education Hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall Kodachrome They give us those nice bright colors They give us the greens of Summer Makes you think all the world's a sunny day I got a Nikon camera I love to take a photograph So mama don't take my Kodachrome away If you took all the girls I knew When I was single And brought them all together for one night I knew they'd never match my sweet imagination Everything looks worse in black and white Kodachrome, Oh gee how I just love Paul Simon |

| cloudhugger | posted 15-Jul-2008 8:43pm I hated the grief, the tension, the poison the faculty spewed on the kids. I hated the awful feelings of not belonging and being an outsider with no one to turn to. I trusted very few. |

| meowry | posted 29-Mar-2009 8:29pm Social prejudice. I was one of the unfortunate ones. Not being taught properly (because I went to an overpopulated public school, I was turned into another waste of life). The food--so unhealthy, bad-tasting too. That made it EASY to become bulimic! I also hated waking up so early. My body and mind were not officially ready until after 9 a.m. Ah, the sleep-deprived youth! It's no wonder that I ended up having chronic sleep problems. |
