Friday and when i am starving to death and cannot take any more time for me to hit the grocery store |

I don't know. Whatever is convenient for YOU is the best time. My own best time is whenever I have money to spend there. |

Sunday Morning early while everyone else is in church. |

Any day you need groceries... why on earth would you think that there's a particular day that's universally best? |

It depends on who you are, where you live, and whom lives around you. Wednesdays generally are not good, because that is the day the senior citizens are pootering around the roads doing their shopping. Sunday at the grocery store after midafternoon is all eery. Fridays and saturdays are insanely busy. Shipments come in I don't know, so I wouldn't want to get their the last day before more comes in, it's usually slim pickings at that time.
I don't know, go when you want. |
cloudhugger |
Can't....that's the day I work. |

I have 2 days that I do my grocery shopping. It depends on what I am doing. |

Tuesday-Thursday. The weekends are too busy.
Also, mid to end month - People will have already spent their government checks by then. |

This is when we go out to breakfast. We hit the restaurants while the churchies are still busy doing their thing.

Whichever day you have the time. I personally prefer doing it on the weekend, so I have groceries for the week. Saturday or Sunday are both fine. Although it's also nice to do it during the week when the stores are less crowded. |
Melf | | (reply to they) posted 30-Jun-2008 11:39am |
Whoa... over here the amount of people in Church would make very little impact on how busy the shops are - it would mostly be people having a lie in on a Sunday because it's their day off or whatever. |
moviesnob | | posted 30-Jun-2008 12:12pm |
Whenever you have time. I'd say late on weekdays is great. |

Depends...I avoid the weekends. The day before a sales ends, seems most practical. |

No day in particular. It's all the same to me. |

Every day. I go 7 days a week to buy whatever we need for the day. There is no "shopping day". We never cook at home so there is no need for any major shopping. |
cloudhugger |
mmm, that's the day I plan for laundry, movies and heroin. |
cloudhugger | | (reply to they) posted 30-Jun-2008 2:47pm |
We do that too. It's reall interesting when the church has a breakfast (they are usually outstanding) and we show up with the before church group which is pretty small. |

Any time is a good time to drive around the parking lot laying on your horn, but late afternoon/early evening is best...

Best time to go for a ‘Sunday drive’ after kissing ‘Mary Jane’! Work up the munchies and head for IHOP!

It is probably on a public record! So from where did you witness this, behind bars? You are amongst friends, did you get arrested? |
LindaH | | (reply to kcthedog) posted 30-Jun-2008 11:48pm |
No, from the store parking lot. |
they | | (reply to kcthedog) posted 30-Jun-2008 11:49pm |
Anywhere but IHOP! That place has never made me happy.
I prefer a waffle house or a Bob Evans. Whenever we drive my daughter to her father's, we stop at the original Bob Evans in Ohio. Do you have those near you? |

How bout 'Sambo's'? I THINK THEY MAKE GREAT COFFEE! |

I think something got lost in the conversation. We're talking about a disturbance at the store parking lot, which someone phoned in. Not all calls lead to an arrest. |

Never heard of Bob Evans. |
they | | (reply to kcthedog) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:05am |
I don't know what that is.
We have a little mom and pop diner in my town called "P & S". We just call it "Piss". It is our secret breakfast place. It's great.

Really? They make sausage. Maybe it's just an Ohio thing.
|
kcthedog | | (reply to they) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:12am |
You gotta search ‘Sambo’s’ a politically incorrect restaurant featuring a little black boy named Sambo. Three is a story that goes with it’ something about being chased by a tiger and turning him (the tiger) into butter, far beyond my scope of explanation at this time and state of mind. |
kcthedog | | (reply to they) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:14am |
I make sausage also! |
they | | (reply to kcthedog) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:19am |
Okay, maybe later. I've had enough racism for tonight. There's an older woman at work who, for the most part, seems as sweet as can be. She says racist things though and I don't know how she can be so ignorant. |

That could mean so many perverted and disgusting things.... I don't even know how to take it. |
LindaH | | (reply to they) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:21am |
Surely you know how to take sausage |
they | | (reply to LindaH) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:23am |
Yeah, but he "makes" it. |
kcthedog | | (reply to they) posted 1-Jul-2008 12:28am |

| Danger |
I like to go almost every day. I pick what I want to eat while I'm at work and pick it up on my way home. |
Matty |
any day we need gorceries; we don't have a set day. |
Zang |
Every day except Sunday. Sunday is too crowded. |
llamamama | | posted 10-Jul-2008 11:51pm |
Well, never. But since we need to eat..and soil here is really not very good for growing things..I'm going to say Sunday. Sunday afternoon because we are "churchies" . The day has already been eaten to shreds because of church so why not go do the most excruciating on the planet, which is buying groceries? I mean geeze, I'd rather have four and a half simultaneous root canals.
But really, church isn't that bad.
Although now that it's summer we can go weeks without going..(normally we go every Sunday). The rather bad part about not going every week is that we run out of beverages. It's like, screw the food, I need tasty juices to drink. |
