I like it now better than I used to. I still dislike the fat that's left to lose but I don't sweat it too much...It's going...It's just a matter of time.

I'm waaay too thin. It really bothers me. Especially when people say stuff like, "You're so thin!!! You make me sick!!!"

I hate to tell you but telling me that my body makes you physically ill does nothing for my self-confidence, thankyouverymuch!

I don't like my body, but I've gotten to where I don't really hate it anymore.

Mariah - I imagine people are just jealous.

I have the body I'm meant to have. I'm making peace with it these days. And I'd take health over beauty any day, if a change became magically available.

Proof positive that if you don't take care of something it will go to hell.

I'm somewhat ambivalent about my body. There are some days where I feel fat, and I just wish that I could look like a supermodel or something. But there are other days when I love my curves and I feel like the hottest, most beautiful person on the face of the planet. I know I'll never look like a supermodel, but I'm healthy and thats what really counts.

I look at family photos from ages ago, and most of the women who are my ancestors were short and stocky. I figure that says something about the way I'm supposed to look...

It's not really my body I don't like, it's what I've done to my body that bothers me.

I had ice cream last night....
I can feel my thighs expanding...

TwM: my cousin, every time she had a second helping of iced cream, her mother would say 'Oh Beth, that will look so good on you...'

Beth was a rail when we were growing up (actually we all were) but she filled out during college. Her mother was always well-rounded.

As my body has never been up to apparently
wide-spread ideals of a man's body designed
by propaganda somehow as the physical appearance
of an aids terminal patient, tanned like by
formol-stricken sunshine, I had to learn to
understand who - and why - would qualify my body
as handsome enough, including its much
more wellfed substance than the one of
models in certain magazines.

I sometimes like the feel of it (from the inside), the feeling I get from the movement of my muscles can be very good.
I like certain aspects of my physical appearance, and dislike others. Though I'm overweight - the look of it doesn't bother me too much. The thing that bothers me about that is badly fitting clothing.

Mariah - I've lost that much in the past month, and I'm delighted. Weird how it can be so different for different people. Are you stressed out about school?

SueBee: Congratulations! It is weird how we've both done the same thing and you feel great about it and I'm so miserable. I am pretty stressed about school and stuff. The doctor said that probably has something to do with my lack of appetite. And the stress is making me sick in other ways too. Yuck. Stress stinks!!! (Arrid works :))

mandy + SueBee - what are your dieting secrets?
mandy
posted 23-Nov-1999 6:29pm
I am following a low carbohydrate diet to help conquer my insulin resistance( I "had" type II diabetes...which seems to be completely under control now). It's working and the side benefit is weight loss.

The most recent are from September. I'll get them uploaded and post them on my website soon. The problem is I've lost more weight since they were taken. I think we'll have a family photo done at Christmas time and post that too.
